국문 초록

본 연구의 목적은 드라마 <우리들의 블루스>에 재현된 장애인의 완전 통합의 방안들을 문화 연구와 장애학의 융복합적 관점에서 비판적으로 분석하고 그 의의와 한계를 평가하는 것이다. 연구 결과 첫째, <우리들의 블루스>는 장애인을 푸릉마을 공동체 내에서 비장애인들과 다름없는 사회구성원으로서 자연스럽게 재현하면서 완전 통합의 바람직한 양상을 제시하고 있다. 둘째, 이 드라마는 전형화된 장애인가족의 재현을 벗어나 다양한 현실을 보여주는 한편 장애인 배우자, 장애인 가족이 있는 배우자와의 새로운 가족 만들기 과정을 중요하게 다루고 있다. 셋째, 이 드라마는 장애인 배우가 자신과 동일한 유형의 장애가 있는 등장인물을 연기함으로써 장애를 흉내 내는 것이 아니라 장애와 밀착된 자신의 삶과 문화로 진정성 있게 재현하고 있다. 반면 드라마 속 발달장애인의 자립 역량을 제한적으로 묘사하고 장애인과 가족을 동정과 연민의 대상으로 재현한 점은 보완이 필요하다. 이러한 연구성과는 현실에서의 장애인 완전 통합의 실천 방안과 드라마에서의 장애인 재현의 나아갈 방향에 의미 있는 시사점을 제공한다.

영문 초록

This study critically analyzes inclusion strategies for people with disability in the drama “Our Blues” from an interdisciplinary perspective in cultural and disability studies, evaluating both their significance and limitations. The study shows that Our Blues naturally portrays person with disability as members of the Purung Village community, presenting an ideal model of inclusion with non-disabled members. Our Blues goes beyond the stereotypical portrayal of disabled families, showcasing diverse realities and emphasizing the significant process of creating new families with a disabled spouse or spouse with a disabled family member. It authentically depicts disability with disabled actors portraying characters having similar disabilities, emphasizing the closeness of their lives and cultures instead of just mimicking disability. However, it should address the drama's limitations, especially in restricting the independence of character with developmental disability and portraying person with disability and her family as objects of sympathy and pity. The research findings provide valuable insights for real-life inclusion of person with disability and suggest ways to enhance the portrayal of disabilities in dramas.
