국문 초록

이 연구는 우리 문학 속에서 발견되는 장애와 질병의 재현 양상을 개인적 불행이라는 사적 체험의 차원으로 보지 않고 사회구조의 모순에서 비롯된 공적 영역에서의 문제성으로 보고, 신체적 결함 또는 결핍을 지닌 인물형들이 보여주는 현실에의 부적응 양상이 작중인물 자신의 육체성의 문제에 국한되지않고 그가 몸담고 있는 현실조건의 문제로 확장된다는 것을 밝히고 있다. 현대소설 속 인물의 신체는사회적 불평등과 편견, 배제의 논리가 투사된 대리표상이자 문제적 사회현실에 쉽게 편입/포섭되지 않음/못함으로써 그것의 문제성을 폭로하는 기제로 작용하는 것이라 할 수 있다. 현대사의 흐름과 문학적형상화가 만나는 지점에서 등장하는 장애와 질병을 가진 인물들은 당대 현실에 대한 문학의 가치판단의 한 측면을 보여주고 있으며, 따라서 문학사적 관점에서 장애와 질병의 개념이 시대별로 어떻게 구성되고 담론화 되었는가를 통시적으로 살펴보는 것은 유의미한 시사를 남겨준다.

영문 초록

When we look at the representation of disability and disease in our literature as a problem in the public domain arising from the contradiction of social structure rather than as a dimension of personal experience of personal misfortune, Is not limited to the problem of the physical personality of his personality but extends to the problem of the real condition of his body. In this case, the body of the character is a representation of the projected logic of social inequality, prejudice, and exclusion, and acts as a mechanism to expose its problems by not being easily incorporated / embraced in the problematic social reality. The way in which the societal and cultural contexts are closely linked by summoning the others present outside the community through the negativity of the pathological body reflects the distinct characteristics and historicity of Korean literature history. Characters with disabilities and diseases in Korean contemporary novels show one aspect of the value judgment of literature on the reality of the time, and therefore, diachronically examine how the concepts of disability and disease were constructed and discoursed by era from the perspective of literature history.
