대구광역시의 인구중심 변화에 관한 연구

국문 초록

본 연구의 목적은 대구광역시의 인구중심을 분석하는 것이다. 이를 위해 등록인구의 시계열 자료를 파악하고, 지역별 인구중심의 변화를 분석하였다. 인구자료는 통계청의 인구총조사 자료를 사용하였고 단위지역의 인구는 행정청(동사무소)에 집중된 것으로 가정하였다. 분석결과는 다음과 같다. 첫째, 대구광역시 전체 인구는 정체되어 있지만 구도심의 인구는 감소하고 외곽 지역은 인구는 증가하는 도심공동화현상이 관찰된다. 둘째, 도심지역의 인구중심은 변화가 미미하지만, 외곽지역의 인구중심은 도심에서 멀어지는 방향으로 뚜렷한 이동 경로를 보인다. 도심지역은 도시개발의 영향이 적어 방향성이 없지만, 외곽지역은 대규모 도시개발에 따라서 인구중심의 방향성이 나타나는 것이다. 셋째, 지역의 인구중심은 방향성을 나타내기도 하지만 대구광역시 전체의 인구중심은 방향성이 보이지 않는다. 이는 대구광역시가 특정 방향의 성장축을 따라 성장하는 것이 아니라 전방위적으로 확산되고 있다는 것을 의미한다.

영문 초록

The purpose of this study is to analyze the population centroid of Daegu Metropolitan City. For this purpose, time series data of the registered population was identified and the change of population centroid in each region was confirmed. The census data by the Census Bureau were used, and the population of the unit area was assumed to be concentrated at the location of the administrative offices. The results of the analysis are as follows. First, Daegu’s total population is stagnant but urban cavitation is observed, with the population of the old town decreasing and the population of the outer area increasing. Second, The inner city s population centroids has changed slightly, but the population centroid in the outskirts shows a clear path of movement away from the city center. In the inner cities, there is little direction of urban development, but in the outer areas, the direction of population centroid is due to large-scale urban developments. Third, Although the population centroid of each region shows direction, the population centroid of Daegu Metropolitan City does not show direction. This is to say that Daegu Metropolitan City does not grow along the growth axis in a specific direction, but spreads in all directions.
