다문화가정 아동이 인식하고 경험하는 사회적 지지에 관한 질적 사례연구

국문 초록

본 연구는 다문화가정 아동이 사회적 지지를 어떻게 인식하고 경험하고 있는지를 살펴보고 학교생활적응에 미치는 영향을 탐색하고자 질적 사례연구방법을 활용하였으며, 이를 위해 다문화가정 아동 5명을 대상으로 심층면접을 실시하였다. 연구결과 첫째, ‘안아주고, 감싸주는’ 가족의 모습에서 가족의 지지를 경험하고 인식하였으며, 또래 및 학교환경에까지 큰 의미로 확대되어 작용하고 있었다. 둘째, ‘같이 해줘서 고마워! 힘내 내 친구’로 배려와 인정의 경험을 통해 또래의 지지를 인식하고 학교생활적응에 영향을 미치고 있었다. 셋째, ‘친절하신 그대 이름은 선생님!’으로 교사와의 긍정적인 상호작용과정을 교사의 지지로 인식하였으며, 넷째, ‘믿고 자신감을 키워주세요!’라고 하는 지도교사의 인정을 지역사회지지로 인식하고 있었다. 이러한 결과는 다문화가정 아동이 경험하는 사회적 지지에 있어 가족․또래․교사․지역사회체계의 중요성을 설명하고 있으며, 긍정적인 학교생활적응을 돕기 위한 다각적인 지원이 필요함을 시사해주고 있다.

영문 초록

The purpose of this study is to investigate how children from multicultural families perceive and experience social support to find out the effect on adaptation to school life. We conducted depth interviews with five children from multicultural families. We analyzed collected data within and between the cases using qualitative case study method to search for experience and perception of social support and adaptation to school life. The results of the analysis were as follows. First, we experienced and perceived the support of family in the hugging and embracing family. Second, they perceived the support of their friends and effect on adaptation to school life through the experience of care and recognition by the program ‘thanks for joining us together! My friend!’ Third, we perceived the teacher s support as a positive interaction process by the program ‘a kind person, your name is a teacher’ Fourth, they perceived the recognition of the teacher that they believe students and raise their confidence! as community support. These results suggest that family, friends, and community systems are important to children from multicultural families as social support suggesting that we need multifaceted support to help them adapt to school life positively.
