시각장애인을 위한 미술작품 음성해설문 제작 방법 연구

국문 초록

본 논문은 미술작품 음성해설문이 어떻게 제작되어야 시각장애인에게 유효한가를 탐구하는 연구다. 이러한 목적을 위해서 본인은 장민한이 아서 단토(Arthur Danto)의 예술이론을 바탕으로 제안한 3단계 미술비평 방법론을 시각장애인을 위한 음성해설문의 골격으로 삼았다. 그런데 장민한의 3단계 미술비평 방법론은 기본적으로 시각장애인의 특수성이 고려된 것이 아니다. 따라서 본 논문은 이런 점을 보완하기 위하여 『시각 너머의 미술』에 언급된 ‘시각장애인을 위한 언어적 설명에 대한 지침’중 일부를 적용했다. 그런데 시각장애인이 장민한의 미술비평 방법론 3단계 전부를 불편함 없이 수용할 수 있다는 전제가 없는 것도 사실이다. 따라서 장민한의 3단계 미술비평 방법론은 3단계를 모두 사용한 틀과 1단계만 사용한 틀로 나눠서 장단점을 비교 분석하였다. 우리는 앞선 언급한 요소들을 적용한 음성해설문 1종을 예시하였고, 이 음성해설문의 타당성을 검증하기 위하여 시각장애인 2인과 평가 인터뷰를 진행했으며 본 논문에서 제시한 음성 해설문 제작 지침에 대한 긍정적인 측면들을 다수 확인할 수 있었다.

영문 초록

This paper explores the methodology of writing a voice description of art works for the blind. For this purpose, we used Jang Min-han s three-step art critique methodology, which was proposed based on Arthur Danto s art theory, as a framework for writing voice explanation for the blind. However, Chang Min-han s three-step art critique methodology does not basically take into account the speciality of the blind. Thus, to supplement this point, this paper reviewed the Guidelines for the Verbal Description for the Visually Impaired mentioned in 『Art beyond sight』 and applied some of them as well as Jang Min-han s art critique methodology. However, it is also true that there is no premise that the blind can accept all three stages of Jang Min-han s art critique methodology without any inconvenience. Therefore, Jang s three-stage art critique methodology needs to be divided into one that uses all three stages and one that uses only the first stage. Taking these factors, I have created two types of Voice explanation. To verify the validity of this Voice explanation, we conducted assessment interviews with two blind people and identified a number of positive aspects.
