문학 번역 수업 지도안과 효과성

국문 초록

이 연구의 목적은 S대학교 전공 선택 과목 중 하나인 문학 번역 수업을 재미있게 지도할 수 있는 수업 지도안을 활용하여 학생들의 문학 번역에 대한 이해력과 번역 능력을 향상하였음을 증명하는 것이다. 번역 실습의 자료로 영문학을 영화로 제작한 작품을 선정하는 것은 영화가 재미있으며, 학생들의 관심을 끌어 학습동기를 유발하는 효과가 크기 때문이다. 수업을 진행하면서 학생들에게 연구자가 운영하는 다음 카페(온라인 커뮤니티, http://cafe.daum.net/smact)의 자료를 이용하여 자기주도적 학습을 하도록 유도하였으며, 학기 전후의 2회의 설문 조사를 통해 학습자 의견을 적극 반영하는 학습자 중심의 모형으로 수업을 진행하였다. 이상의 과정을 반영한 수업 지도안을 통해 수업을 한 결과 영문학의 작품 배경지식과 퀴즈가 학습에 많은 영향을 끼쳤으며, 학생들의 번역 방법 습득, 어휘력 향상에도 도움이 되었음을 확인할 수 있었다. 연구자는 이 연구가 문학 번역 지도에 활용되고 후속 연구가 나오길 바란다.

영문 초록

The purpose of this study is to prove that students have improved their understanding and translation ability of literary translation by using the lesson plan that can be used to teach literary translation class, which is one of S University’s major elective subjects in a fun way. The selection of works made by English literature as a material of translation practice is because movies are fun and they have a great effect on inducing students interest and motivation for learning. During the class, students were encouraged to conduct self-directed learning using the data of Daum Cafe(Online community, http://cafe.daum.net/smact) operated by the researcher. Through the two surveys before and after the semester, the class was conducted as a learner-centered model that actively reflects the opinions of the learners. As a result of the lesson plan reflecting the above process, it was confirmed that the background knowledge and quiz of English literature had a great influence on the learning, and it was also helpful for students to acquire translation methods and improve their vocabulary. The researcher hopes this study will be used for teaching literary translation class and further studies will be made.
