배우자 돌봄 제공 노인과 돌봄 수혜 노인의 우울에 관한 연구

국문 초록

본 연구는 부부가구 노인들을 대상으로 돌봄의 제공자인지 수혜자인지에 따라 우울에 영향을 미치는 변인에 차이가 있는지를 2017 노인실태조사를 활용하여 분석하였다. 연구는 65세 이상인 부부가구 노인 중 돌봄 제공 노인 579명과 돌봄 수혜 노인 453명을 대상으로 분석하였으며 연구 결과는 다음과 같다. 첫째, 돌봄 제공자와 수혜자 간의 사회경제적 요인과 자녀와 친구와의 관계 및 지지 변인에 차이가 있었다. 둘째, 돌봄을 제공받는 노인이 돌봄을 제공하는 노인에 비해 우울성향점수와 우울성향 비율이 유의미하게 높게 나타났다. 셋째, 돌봄의 제공자인지 수혜자인지에 따라 우울성향에 영향을 미치는 변인에 차이가 있었다. 배우자의 건강상태, 자녀의 정서적 지원, 자녀에게 정서적 지원 제공, 그리고 친구·이웃·지인과의 연락빈도는 돌봄 수혜 노인의 우울성향에, 종교유무, 주관적 경제수준, 자녀의 정기적 현금지원, 친구·이웃·지인 왕래 빈도는 돌봄 제공 노인의 우울성향에 영향을 미치는 것으로 나타났다, 주관적 건강상태는 돌봄 제공과 수혜에 관계없이 우울성향에 가장 중요한 영향을 미치는 변인으로 밝혀졌다.

영문 초록

Based on 2017 National Survey on Elderly Study, this study explored the factors related to depression between spousal caregiver and care recipient of elderly living with spouse. Using 579 spousal caregiver and 453 care recipient, this study found following three results. First, socioeconomic variables and variables of relationship and support with children and friends were significantly different between two groups. Second, both depression scores and depression ratio of spousal care recipients were higher than those of spousal caregiver. Third, the effects of factors on depression were significantly different between two groups. While health of spouse, receiving emotional support from children, providing emotional support to children and frequency of contact friends/neighbors were significantly associated with depression of care recipient, religion, subjective economic status, regular economic support from children, and frequency of visiting friends/neighbors were significantly contributed to the depression of spousal caregiver. Subjective health had the strongest effect on depression for both caregiver and care recipient.
