신문 보도 속 영화스타 이미지 재현과정의 변화 : 시뮬라시옹 개념 중심으로

국문 초록

이 연구는 신문 보도 속 영화스타 이미지 재현의 시대적 변천 과정을 보드리야르의 시뮬라시옹(simulation) 개념을 중심으로 고찰해보고자 했다. 이에 신문 보도를 시기별로 구분하고 스타 관련 보도의 총량이 많은 대표 남녀배우 8명을 선정하였으며, 관련 보도자료 798개를 수집하여 분석하였다. 분석 결과, 1970년대에는 보드리야르의 이미지 변화단계 중 실재화에 속하며 재현성을 주 특성으로 하는 기사가 많았으며, 고전적 성 역할의 중요성을 강조하면서도 근대화 과정에서 과도기를 겪고 있는 성 역할 이데올로기를 내재하고 있는 기사가 많았다. 1980년대는 변화, 변형, 확장성의 특성이 나타나는 이미지 변질화 단계의 보도 비중이 늘어났으며 기사의 분량이 대폭 늘어났다. 1990년대에는 부재화의 특성이 있는 기사들이 많았으며, 공인의 사회적 책임에 대한 논의가 주요하게 이루어졌다. 2000년대 이후에는 차이와 변종의 이미지 단계인 상징, 혼성, 환상성의 특성을 지닌 보도의 비중이 눈에 띄게 증가했고, 고전적 영웅을 벗어난 현실적 영웅에 대한 담론을 형성하였으며 은유와 상징의 표현이 많아짐을 알 수 있었다.

영문 초록

In This study aimed to investigate the changing process of movie stars’ image representation in the newspapers focusing on the concept of Baudrillard’s simulation. Hence, the newspaper articles were classified by the times and 8 actors and actresses who had the total volume of articles related to the stars were selected. 798 press articles were collected and analyzed. Upon the analysis results, there were many articles with reproducibility as the main characteristics belonging to hypostatization among Baudrillard’s image changing steps in 1970s. Also, there were many articles that empathized the importance of classical sexual roles and implicated the sexual role ideology which experienced the transition period during modernization process. In 1980s, the rate of articles with image modification step was increased that occurred the characteristics of change, modification, and expansion, and the volume of articles was enhanced significantly. There were many articles with characteristics of absence, which discussed on the social responsibilities of public figures in 1990s. Since 2000s, remarkable increase of articles with characteristics of symbol, mixing, and fantasy which were the image steps of difference and modification had been occurred. Discourses on the realistic hero were developed beyond the classical hero, and the expressions of metaphor and symbols were increased.
