실용음악 전공자의 웹리터러시 역량 필요성 연구

국문 초록

본 연구는 4년제 대학에서 실용음악을 전공하고 있는 학생들에 대한 설문과 실용음악을 수행하고 있는교수자들의 자문을 토대로 하여, ‘실용음악 전공 교육’에서 ‘웹리터러시’ 교육 수요와 필요성을 파악하는것을 목적으로 하여 진행되었다. 실용음악 전공생들이 실제로 음악 학습 및 감상을 수행하는 데 있어서음원 전문 플랫폼, 유튜브, SNS 등의 ‘웹미디어/플랫폼’이 어떤 역할을 수행하는지를 살펴보고, 제작자로서 가지는 웹이 ‘음악 발표 및 유통’ 미디어로 갖게 될 위상에 대한 인식을 살펴보았다. 또, 실용음악교수자들이 학생들의 ‘웹리터러시’ 관련 교육 필요성과 수요를 어떻게 파악하고 있는지도 함께 살폈다. 교수자와 학생 모두 음악교육, 감상, 유통 등 전 과정에 걸쳐 웹미디어가 주도적인 역할을 하고 있으며, 또 그와 관련한 교육이 도입되고 확대되어야 한다는 인식을 공유하는 확인되었다. ‘웹리터러시’ 교육의 확대 및 교과과정 도입의 필요성은 높은 정도로 공유되었다는 사실을 밝히고 있다.

영문 초록

Based on surveys of students majoring in applied music at a four-year university and consultations with professors engaged in applied music, this study was conducted to understand the demand and necessity of 'web literacy' education in 'applied music major education'. This study examined how much 'web media/platform' such as music streaming platform, YouTube, and SNS actually play a role in music learning and listening to college students majoring in applied music, and also explored the awareness of the web's status as a 'music presentation and distribution' media as a production subject of music content. Additionally, the study investigated how applied music professors understand the necessity and demand of education related to 'web literacy' of students in the educational field. As a result of the study, it was confirmed that both the educational providers and recipients recognize the proactive role of web media throughout the entire process, including music education, listening, presentation, and distribution, that education related to these aspects of web media should be introduced and expanded to keep pace with the evolving landscape. This study reveals that there is a widely shared recognition of the substantial need for the expansion of education and the introduction of curriculum related to 'web literacy'.
