국문 초록

본 연구는 노인 단독가구의 사회자본과 거주환경이 인지적, 기능적 건강에 미치는 영향을 파악하고자하였다. 이를 위해 본 연구는 2021년 6월 수집된 2차 자료를 활용하였다. 이 자료는 전국에 거주하는노인 단독가구원으로서, 총 557명이 최종 분석에 활용되었다. 연구 결과 사회자본 수준은 노인 단독가구의 인지적, 기능적 건강에 영향을 미쳤다. 고령 친화 거주환경은 노인 단독가구의 인지적 건강 수준에 직접적 영향을 미쳤으나 기능적 건강과는 직접적 관련은 없었다. 특히 사회자본과 거주환경은 노년기 인지적, 기능적 건강에 상호작용 효과를 가진 것으로 나타났다. 사회자본과 거주환경이 노인 단독가구의 건강에 상호작용을 일으키는 것이 입증된 본 연구 결과를 토대로 고령 친화환경과 사회자본의 형성 방안에 정책의 관심이 집중될 필요성이 있다.

영문 초록

This study explored the effects of social capital and living environment on the cognitive and functional health of elderly single households. This study used secondary data collected in June 2021. That data included elderly single household members living across the country, and a total of 557 elderly were used in the final analysis. As a result of the study, the level of social capital affected the cognitive and functional health of elderly single households. The age-friendly living environment had a direct effect on the cognitive health level of elderly single households, but was not directly related to functional health. Social capital and residential environment were found to have an interactive effect on cognitive and functional health in elderly single household. Based on the results of this study, there is a need to focus policy attention on an age-friendly environment and ways to form social capital.
