간호사 근무시간대별 입원아동의 투약오류 관련 요인

국문 초록

본 연구는 간호사 근무시간대별 입원아동의 투약오류 관련 요인을 파악하기 위해 2016년 7월부터2020년 12월까지 보고된 환자안전보고·학습시스템(Korean Patient Safety Reporting & Learning System, KOPS)을 활용하였으며 수집된 자료는 R 4.2.0 version program을 사용하여 다항 로지스틱회귀분석을 실시하였다. 연구결과 간호사 근무시간별 투약오류 위해 정도를 살펴보면 낮번 근무에서는성별이 여아 대비 남아일 경우(OR=1.97, p=.042), 의료기관 등급이 종합병원 대비 상급종합병원일 경우(OR=2.92, p=.002) 위해사건 및 적신호 사건이 증가하였다. 초번 근무에서는 사고발생 후 발견시간이 즉시 보다 1시간 미만에서 발견한 경우 위해사건 및 적신호사건이 증가하였으며(OR=4.71, p=.003), 1시간 이상에서 발견할 경우 5배 이상 증가하였다(OR=5.79, p=.001). 따라서 입원아동의 투약오류를예방하기 위해서는 의료종사자 간의 의사소통 개선, 간호인력 보충 및 투약 관련 정책 마련 등이 필요함을 제언한다.

영문 초록

This is a secondary data analysis study to determine the effect of nurses’ shift time on medication errors in hospitalised children. The Korean Patient Safety Reporting & Learning System (KOPS) reported from July 2016 to December 2020 was used, and the collected data were subjected to multinomial logistic regression analysis using R 4.2.0 version program. The results showed that the risk of medication errors according to nurses' shift time increased when the gender was male compared to female (OR=1.97, p=.042), the medical institution class was general hospital compared to senior general hospital(OR=2.92, p=.002). On the first shift, adverse events and red flag events increased when the time of discovery was less than 1 hour after the incident compared to immediately(OR=4.71, p=.003), and increased significantly when the time of discovery was more than 1 hour(OR=5.79, p=.001). Therefore, it is suggested that improved communication between healthcare workers, supplementation of nursing staff, and preparation of medication-related policies are necessary to prevent medication errors in hospitalised children.
