레고(Lego)를 활용한 대학 작문 PBL 수업 사례 연구

국문 초록

본 연구는 대학 작문 수업의 한 사례로서 역동성을 중심으로 한 문제중심학습(Problem-Based Learning, PBL)을 제시하고 이 수업이 갖는 교육적 효과를 확인하여 PBL 작문 수업의 교육적 함의에대해 고찰하는 것이 목적이다. 이에 대전 소재의 C 대학 기초 교양 필수 과목인 ‘기초글쓰기’ 교과목에PBL 수업 방식을 적용하였고, 세부 목표는 글쓰기에 대한 ‘흥미 유발’과 ‘융·복합적 사고 능력의 신장’ 에 두었다. 특히 학습 도구로서 학생들의 경험 감각을 자극하고 융·복합적 사고를 불러올 수 있는 ‘레고(Lego)’를 활용하였고 수업 내용으로는 ‘글의 전개 방식’에 해당하는 ‘설명, 서사, 묘사’ 부분을 중심내용으로 삼았다. 이를 통해 학생들은 설명, 서사, 묘사 방식이 글을 쓸 때 종합적으로 활용될 수 있는효과적인 방법임을 이해하는 한편, 글쓰기가 ‘필자’와 ‘독자’ 간에 이루어지는 협력적 ‘의사소통 과정’임을 경험적으로 학습할 수 있었다. 또한 성찰 일지를 작성함으로써 글쓰기 전반에 대한 단계적 절차를 이해할 수 있었다.

영문 초록

The purpose of this study is to present problem-based learning(PBL) centered on dynamics as an example of university writing classes and to examine the educational implications of PBL writing classes by confirming the educational effects of this class. Accordingly, the PBL teaching method was applied to the “Basic Writing” subject, which is an essential subject for basic liberal arts at C University in Daejeon, and the detailed goals were “inducing interest” in writing and “increasing convergence and complex thinking skills”. In particular, “Lego” was used as a learning tool to stimulate students’ sense of experience and bring about fusion and complex thinking, and the contents of the class were “explanation, description, narrative”, which corresponds to “writing statement method”. Through this, students were able to understand that explanation, description, and narrative are effective methods that can be used comprehensively when writing, and to learn empirically that writing is a cooperative “communication process” between “writer” and “reader”. In addition, by writing a reflection journal, They understood the step-by-step procedure for the overall writing.
