국문 초록

이 연구는 재난으로부터 안전한 지역사회 구축을 위한 초기 단계로 서울시민의 재난안전 인식 수준을진단해보고 재난안전 인식을 강화하는 것이 목적이다. 급격한 도시화와 인구 증가로 서울은 인구 거주와 경제 활동이 집중되는 중심 지역이 되었다. 그 결과 막대한 사회·경제적 가치를 창출하며 동시에 잠재적으로 심각한 재난과 위험에 노출되어 있다. 자연재해(지진, 홍수 등)와 사회재난(화재, 사고)은 대도시에서 더욱 파괴적인 영향을 미친다. 따라서 재난안전은 현대 사회의 핵심 과제 중 하나로 부각되고있으며 긴급 대응 능력, 효과적인 예방 및 대비 계획, 그리고 시민들의 재난안전 인식에 크게 영향을받는다. 본 연구는 서울연구원에서 2021년 서울시민 1000명을 대상으로 진행한 설문 조사 자료를 바탕으로 한국사회과학데이터센터(KSDC)의 통계프로그램인 E-stat 3.0을 사용하여 빈도분석, 분산분석을 사용하여 재난안전 인식을 연구하였으며, 연구 결과는 지역적 차원에서의 재난안전 인식 개선방안을 도출하고 서울시뿐만 아니라 다른 대도시에서도 재난안전 인식 강화를 위한 자료로 활용될 수 있을 것으로 기대된다.

영문 초록

This study aims to diagnose the level of disaster safety awareness among Seoul residents and to strengthen disaster safety awareness as an initial step toward building a disaster-safe community. Due to rapid urbanization and population growth, Seoul has become a central area where people live and economic activities are concentrated. As a result, it creates enormous socio-economic value and is exposed to potentially serious disasters and risks. Natural disasters (earthquakes, floods, etc.) and social disasters (fires, accidents) have a more devastating impact in large cities. Therefore, disaster safety has emerged as one of the key challenges of modern society and is strongly influenced by emergency response capabilities, effective prevention and preparedness plans, and citizens' perceptions of disaster safety. Based on the survey data of 1,000 Seoul residents in 2021 conducted by the Seoul Institute, this study used E-stat 3.0, a statistical program of the Korea Social Science Data Center (KSDC), to study disaster safety awareness using frequency analysis and analysis of variance, and the results of the study are expected to derive measures to improve disaster safety awareness at the local level and serve as a resource for strengthening disaster safety awareness not only in Seoul but also in other large cities.
