국문 초록

본 연구는 군터 크레스와 테오 반 리우웬의 시각문법을 통해 사진치료 내담자들이 창작한 시각이미지의 의미를 분석하고, 이를 창작 주제와 연결하여 그들의 내면이 창작물에 어떻게 투영되었는지 살펴보는 것을 목적으로 한다. 연구 대상은 자기표현 및 의사소통 증진을 위한 사진치료 프로그램에 참여한대안학교 학생들의 창작물이며, 연구 결과는 다음과 같다. 첫째, 사진치료 내담자의 창작물은 시각문법의 재현적, 상호작용적, 구성적 메타기능 측면의 분석을 통해 다양한 정보와 의미가 파악되었다. 둘째, 시각문법 분석 내용과 창작 주제를 연결하여 그들의 심리상태나 성향, 소망 등을 유추할 수 있었다. 본연구는 사진치료 내담자의 창작물을 시각문법의 메타기능을 통해 분석을 시도했다는 점과 분석 내용을기반으로 내담자의 내면, 심리상태의 유추 가능성을 타진해보았다는 점에서 의의를 갖는다. 예술치료사가 시각문법에 입각하여 내담자가 창작한 시각이미지를 분석할 수 있다면, 내담자에 대한 이해와 내담자와의 의사소통 증진에 많은 도움이 될 것으로 사료된다.

영문 초록

The purpose of this study is to analyze the meaning of visual images created by phototherapy clients through The Grammar of Visual Design by Gunther Kress and Theo van Leeuwen, and to connect them with the artistic activity topics to see how their inner selves were projected into the creations. The subjects of the study are the creations of students from alternative school who participated in phototherapy program to promote self-expression and communication. And the results of the study are as follows. First, the client's creations in the phototherapy program was identified with various information and meanings through analysis of the representational, interactional, and compositional metafunction aspects of the grammar of visual design. Second, by connecting analysis contents and the artistic activity topics, their psychological state, tendency, and wishes could be inferred. This study is meaningful in that it attempted to analyze the client's creations through the metafunction of the grammar of visual design and examined the possibility of inferring the client's inner and psychological state based on the analysis.
