“야연”을 통해 본 ‘중서융합’의 서사와 음악

국문 초록

본고의 목적은 영화의 전통 서사와 음악을 기점으로 삼은 융합연구에 초점을 두고 “야연(夜宴)”(2006) 의 서사와 음악 창작의 특징에 대해 논의하는 것이다. 즉 펑샤오강(馮小剛) 감독이 추구한 전통적 미학사상이 무엇인지, 주요 인물들의 색채 스토리에 따라 작곡가 탄둔(譚盾)이 어떤 음악 테마를 만들었으며 그들이 부각한 서사적, 음악적 요소들이 어떻게 동서양의 경계를 넘어 융합되어 체현되었는지를 살펴보는 것이다. “야연”은 셰익스피어의 명극 “햄릿”을 각색한 방식으로 중국적 무협 스토리로 재탄생시켰다. 펑샤오강은 영화에서 주로 빨간색, 흰색, 검은색 등 세 가지 색채를 부각하며 인물의 감정, 욕망과 심리적 변화를 전달하였다. 피아노를 메인 악기로 한 탄둔의 ‘월인가’ 주요음악 테마 역시 중국 전통의 민족적 요소로 이끌어가면서 권력에 대한 욕망, 이룰 수 없는 사랑에 대한 영화 속 캐릭터들의 고독, 외로움을관객들에게 재현하고자 긴밀히 협력하였다.

영문 초록

The objective of this research focuses on discussing the relationship between the integration of Eastern and Western narrative and music. This research It examines what traditional aesthetic ideas director Xiaogang Feng pursued, what music themes Dun Tan created according to the color stories of the main characters, and how the narrative and musical elements they highlighted were integrated and embodied across the boundaries of the East and the West. The movie The Banquet reborn as a Chinese Martial Arts story by the way of adapting Shakespeare's play Hamlet. Xiaogang Feng conveyed the emotions, desires, and psychological changes of the characters through the emphasis of three colors in the film: red, white, and black. Tandun's main music theme of “The Yue Folk's Song” with piano as the main instrument also led to the ethnic elements of Chinese tradition. He worked closely to recreate the desire for power, the solitude of characters in the film about unachievable love, and loneliness to the audience.
