초등무용교육에서 케이팝 대중무용의 활용방안 모색

국문 초록

이 연구에서는 초등무용교육에서 주제표현 영역 부분에 케이팝(K-Pop) 대중무용을 활용하는 방안을 고찰하고자 한다. 초등학교 체육과 6학년 교과과정에서 제시하는 주제표현 영역은 자기 생각이나 느낌을창의적·독창적인 움직임으로 구현하도록 다양한 종류의 무용을 활용하여 표현 방법을 익히고, 이 과정에서 표현 창작을 할 수 있도록 구성되어 있다. 이에 이 연구에서는 자기 생각과 느낌을 표현하고 싶은 주제에 맞게 창의적·독창적인 움직임으로 표현하고자 할 때 케이팝 아이돌이 추는 대중무용에 나타난 포인트 안무와 군무, 댄스 챌린지 세 관점에서 초등무용교육에서 대중무용을 활용하는 방안을 탐구한다. 이를 위해 초등학교 6학년 8종 체육교과서를 확보하여 4단원 ‘주제표현’ 영역의 텍스트를 분석하고, 기호학적 관점에서 케이팝 아이돌 그룹의 뮤직비디오를 해석한다. 이를 통해, 창의성과 독창성, 협동심을 기르는데 왜 케이팝 대중무용을 활용해야 하고, 어떻게 케이팝 대중무용을 적용하여 미래사회가요구하는 인간상을 구현할 수 있으며, 케이팝 대중무용으로 무엇을 학습할 수 있는지 살펴본다.

영문 초록

This study explores the potential applications of K-pop popular dance in the ‘subject expression’ component of primary dance education, specifically targeting sixth-grade students. The research proposes an approach to primary dance education that incorporates key elements derived from K-pop idols, including point choreography, group dancing and dance challenge. To explore the integration of K-pop popular dance into primary school dance education, the study employs a two-fold method. First, it conducts a textual analysis of Unit Four from eight primary school physical education textbooks specifically designed for sixth-grade students, with a particular focus on the ‘Subject Expression’ section. Second, it examines K-pop idol music videos from a semiotic perspective. Through these investigations, the study seeks to elucidate the rationale behind incorporating K-pop popular dance into primary school dance education, the methodology for applying K-pop popular dance to cultivate the desired human qualities for future societal needs, and the educational benefits that primary school students can derive from engaging with K-pop popular dance.
