국문 초록

본고의 목적은 어머니의 그릿과 아동의 학업열의 관계에서 아동의 주의집중과 그릿의 단순매개효과 및 순차적 다중매개효과를 검증하는 것이다. 본 연구에서는 한국아동·청소년패널(2018) 1차 연도 자료 중 초등학교 4학년 아동 2,136명을 대상으로 실시하였다. 연구결과, 첫째, 단순매개 모형에서는 어머니 그릿은 아동의 주의집중과 그릿에 직접영향을 미치고, 학업열의에 간접영향을 미치며, 아동의 주의집중과 그릿에는 부분매개효과가 있음을 확인하였다. 둘째, 어머니 그릿은 아동의 주의집중과 그릿을 순차적으로 매개하여 학업열의에 영향을 미치는 다중매개효과를 확인하였다. 본 연구결과는 아동의 학업열의 향상을 위한 지원 방법 및 프로그램을 개발하는데 현실적 근거를 제공할 수 있을 것이다.

영문 초록

The purpose of this paper is to verify the simple mediating effect and sequential multiple mediating effect of children's attention and grit in the relationship between the mother's grit and the child's academic engagement, In this study, the first-year data of the Korean Children and Youth Panel(2018) was used. The subjects were 2,136 4th graders in elementary school. As a result of the study, first, simple mediation results confirmed that mother's grit had a direct effect on children's attention and grit, an indirect effect on academic engagement, and a partial mediation effect of children's attention and grit. Second, it was confirmed that mother's grit had a multiple mediating effect that affects academic engagement by sequentially mediating children's attention and grit. The results of this study will provide a realistic basis for developing support methods and programs to improve children's academic engagement.
