국문 초록

본 연구는 국내 웹툰 콘텐츠기업에 대한 투자결정 요인을 분석함으로써 투자유치 전략을 수립하는데 있어서 전략적 아이디어를 제공하고자 하였다. 연구방법으로는 다양한 웹툰 콘텐츠기업 투자 주체들을 대상으로 한 델파이조사를 채택하였다. 분석 결과, 웹툰산업에 대한 주요 투자결정 요인으로는 ‘웹툰 콘텐츠 IP 확보 현황’, ‘콘텐츠 IP 확장 가능성’, ‘유연한 사고와 실행력’, ‘기업 보유 작가의 역량’ 및 ‘기업 보유 작가의 인지도’ 등이 도출되었다. 반면 웹툰 불법유통에 대응하는 ‘웹툰 유통의 합리성’은 투자결정에서 차지하는 비중이 작은 것으로 나타났다. 이러한 연구 결과는 웹툰 콘텐츠기업이 투자를 유치하기 위해서 창제작 환경 구축을 기반으로 IP확장이 가능한 양질의 웹툰콘텐츠를 제작할 역량을 갖추어야 한다는 점을 시사한다. 본 연구는 웹툰 콘텐츠기업에 대한 투자의사 결정요인을 분석하여 웹툰산업 투자를 활성화하기 위한 환경을 구축하기 위한 방향성을 제시하였다는 것에 의의가 있다.

영문 초록

This study attempted to provide ideas in establishing investment strategies by analyzing the determinants of investment in domestic webtoon company. The Delphi survey method was adopted targeting investment entities of various webtoon companies. As a result of the analysis, major investment determinants considering the characteristics of the industry were the current status of securing webtoon IP, the possibility of IP expansion, flexible thinking and execution and the competence and recognition of corporate-owned artist. On the other hand, it was found that the rationality of distribution of the industry, which includes illegal distribution of webtoon, was not considered in investment determinants. These findings suggest that company should have the ability to produce high-quality content that can expand IP based on the establishment of a creative environment to attract investment. This study is meaningful in that it presented a direction to establish an environment to revitalize investment in the webtoon industry by analyzing the determinants of investment decisions in webtoon content company.
