국문 초록

이 연구는 K-예능 최초로 넷플릭스 1위를 차지한 <피지컬:100>의 글로벌 흥행 요인을 기존 리얼리티쇼와 차별화된 구성과 한국적 스토리텔링의 관점에서 분석한다. <피지컬:100>은 ‘몸’을 소재로 퀘스트를‘스포츠’처럼 수행하도록 구성해 리얼리티를 높인다. 준비되지 않은 보조서사의 비중이 크고, MC가 없고 자막도 최소화하여 언어와 문화적 장벽을 낮추고 있으며, 생동감 있는 영상 표현과 미장센으로 기존예능과 차별화한다. 인문학적 지식을 차용해 하나의 거대한 스토리로 전개해 품질을 높이고, 기존 리얼리티쇼의 영웅적 캐릭터를 강조하는 대신 미션 중심의 서사를 구성한다. 한국적 스토리텔링 요소는 공정과 원칙 및 상호존중, ‘정(情)’과 동료애, 집단 ‘신명’과 협동·소통의 리더십이 나타난다. 이로써 <피지컬:100>은 ‘완벽한 피지컬의 탐구’라는 기획의도를 효과적으로 실현하고, 해외 시청자의 접근성을 높였다고 볼 수 있다.

영문 초록

This study analyzes the global success factors of , which topped Netflix for the first time in K-reality show, from the perspective of composition differentiated from existing reality shows and Korean storytelling. enhances reality by configuring the quest to perform like a “sports” based on “body”. The proportion of unprepared auxiliary narratives is large, there is no MC, and subtitles are minimized, lowering language and cultural barriers, and differentiating them from existing entertainment shows with lively video expressions and mise-en-scène. By borrowing humanities knowledge, it develops into a huge story to improve quality, and instead of emphasizing the heroic characters of existing reality shows, it forms a mission-oriented narrative. Korean storytelling elements include fairness, principles, and mutual respect, “Cheong” and fellowship, and leadership in cooperation and communication with the group “Shinmyeong”. As a result, can be seen as effectively realizing the planning intention of “perfect physical exploration” and increasing accessibility for overseas viewers.
