국문 초록

이 연구의 목적은 2010년대를 지나며 한국 대중음악 시장에 새롭게 등장한 어쿠스틱 팝 음악 출현의배경과 의미를 논하는 것이다. 이에 먼저 어쿠스틱 팝 음악의 조작적 정의를 규정하고 이 음악 성행의현황을 살펴봄으로써 그 실체를 포착하였는데, 그것은 주류 음악 차트에서의 점유율, 해당 음악에 대한국내 음악가들의 선호와 지향성, 어쿠스틱을 내세우는 음악산업의 동향 등을 통해 증명되었다. 어쿠스틱 팝의 등장과 그것이 가져온 일련의 현상은 이를 추동한 글로벌 음악 동향, 디지털 문명에의 반발, 변화한 시대상에의 음악적 대응, 싱어송라이터와 작가주의 경향성이라는 주제들로 설명될 수 있으며 그의미를 살펴보았다. 어쿠스틱 팝 음악 현상에 대한 시론적 성격인 이 글은 포크 음악과 가장 많은 공통분모를 공유하는 어쿠스틱 팝 음악이 한국 포크 계보의 관점에서 정치하게 논의되어야 함을 제언했다.

영문 초록

The purpose of this article is to discuss the background and meaning of the emergence of acoustic pop music, which newly emerged in the Korean popular music market in the 2010s. Therefore, first, the operational definition of acoustic pop music was defined, and the actual state was captured by examining the current status of this music’s prevalence. It has been proven through mainstream music charts, domestic musicians' preference and orientation for the music and trends in the music industry that promote acoustic music. The emergence of acoustic pop and the series of phenomena it brought about can be explained by topics such as ‘the global music trend that has driven it’, ‘resistance to digital civilization’, ‘musical response to the changing era’ and ‘tendency of singer-songwriters and auteurisme’. This article, which is an introduction to the phenomenon of acoustic pop music, additionally discussed that acoustic pop music, which shares a common denominator with folk music, should be elaborately and meticulously discussed from the perspective of Korean folk history.
