국문 초록

본 연구는 그림책 작가가 독자를 대상으로 염두에 두고자 하는 글과 그림의 융합 방식을 검토하고, 치유 기능을 발휘할 수 있는 그림책 창작의 방향성을 고찰하였다. 살펴본바 그림책의 글과 그림은 서로를재현함으로써 서로 상대가 없이는 담아낼 수 없는 의미를 표현한다. 이것은 주 정보와 잉여 정보의 관계가 바탕 된 다양한 형태로 제시되며, 이 둘의 결합으로 각각이 지닌 의미 이상의 의미가 생겨난다. 독자는 모든 감각을 동원하여 텍스트에서 생성된 의미를 찾아 나선다. 독자의 경험적 맥락으로 텍스트가 지닌 암묵적 메시지를 이해하는 과정에서 미처 생각지 못했던 새로운 세계와 만나고 다양한 감정을느끼며 성장하게 된다. 이것은 본 연구에 활용된 그림책에서 확인할 수 있다. 부모의 이혼을 다른 시각에서 접근하는 것으로 위안을 얻는 것, 타인의 배려와 사랑을 통해 장애 극복 서사를 보여준 것, 자기자신을 존중하는 마음을 지니도록 길을 마련한 것 등이 바로 그러하다. 이것으로 그림책 글과 그림의완전한 융합이 독자에게 정서적 위로와 안정감을 주는 것은 물론 치유의 기능을 드러낼 수 있음을 확인하였다.

영문 초록

This paper reviewed the convergence method of writing and painting that picture book writers want to keep in mind for readers, and examined the direction of picture book creation that can exert a healing function. As we looked at, the writings and pictures of picture books express meanings that cannot be contained without each other by reproducing each other. This is presented in various forms based on the relationship between main information and surplus information, and the combination of these two creates more meaning than the meaning of each. The reader mobilizes all senses to find the meaning generated from the text. This can be confirmed in the picture book used in this study. This is the case with gaining comfort by approaching parents' divorce from a different perspective, showing a narrative of overcoming obstacles through consideration and love of others, and laying the way to respect oneself. This confirmed that the complete fusion of picture book writing and painting can not only give the reader emotional comfort and stability, but also reveal the function of healing.
