Factors influencing medical school professors' perceptions of nonface-to-face education method and satisfaction with related faculty development programs

국문 초록

목적 본 연구의 목적은 의과대학 교수의 비대면 교육방법 효과에 대한 인식과 비대면 교수개발 프로그램 만족도에 영향을 미치는요인을 경험적으로 분석하기 위한 것이다. 방법 자료 수집을 위해 S대학교 의과대학 연수기관에서 2020년 7월부터 2021년 4월까지 비대면 교수개발 프로그램에 참여한교수를 대상으로 설문을 실시하였으며, 총 445명이 연구에 참여하였다. 자료 분석을 위해 SPSS 26 프로그램을 활용하여 신뢰도분석, 기술통계 분석, 상관분석, 단순회귀분석, 다중회귀분석을 실시하였다. 결과 첫째, 의과대학 교수의 비대면 교육방법 효과에 대한 인식에 유의한 영향을 미치는 요인은 프로그램 설계, 학습관리, 교수자와의 소통 순으로 나타났다. 둘째, 비대면 교육방법 효과에 대한 인식은 비대면 교수개발프로그램의 만족도에 통계적으로 유의미한영향을 미치는 것으로 분석되었다. 결론 비대면 교수개발 프로그램 효과에 대한 인식을 높이기 위해서는 한 측면이 아닌 조직이나 기관 차원의 프로그램 설계, 학습관리, 교수자의 다양한 요인을 고려해야 한다. 의학교육 연수 기관에서는 꼼꼼한 프로그램 설계와 학습 관리를 위해 노력하고, 교수자는 비대면 상황에서 상호작용을 증진하기 위한 전략을 연구함으로써, 학습자의 비대면 교육방법에 대한 긍정적인 인식과 교수진개발 프로그램에 대한 높은 만족도를 이끌어 낼 수 있다. 본 연구는 언택트 시대의 교육환경에 대비하고 수요에 맞는 비대면 교수개발프로그램의 효과적인 시행을 위한 시사점을 도출하였다는 점에서 의의가 있다.

영문 초록

Objectives This study aims to conduct an empirical analysis of the factors influencing medical school professors’ perceptions of nonface-to-face (nonF2F) education method effects and satisfaction with nonF2F faculty development programs. Methods We conducted a survey of 445 medical school professors who participated in the nonF2F faculty development program from July 2020 to April 2021. For the data analysis, the SPSS 26 program was used to perform reliability, descriptive statistics, correlation, simple, and multiple regression analyses. Results First, program design, learning management, and communication with instructors were identified as factors that significantly influence medical school professors’ perceptions of the effectiveness of nonF2F education method. Second, the perception of the effect of nonF2F education method had a statistically significant effect on the satisfaction of nonF2F faculty development programs. Considering various factors for the organization or institution-level learning design, management, and instructors, rather than just one aspect of the nonF2F faculty development program, the degree to which medical professors perceive the effectiveness of nonF2F education method increases. Conclusions Training institutions strive for meticulous program design and learning management, and instructors can study strategies to improve communication skills in nonF2F situations, leading learners to positive perceptions of nonF2F education method and high satisfaction with faculty development programs. This study is significant because it has implications for the effective implementation of nonF2F teaching development programs that prepare for the educational environment in the “untact era” and meet demand.
