표정 분석 데이터를 활용한 원격화상 토론 학습 지원전략 개발

국문 초록

목적 본 연구는 표정 분석 도구로 분석한 학습분석 데이터를 활용하여 원격화상 토론 학습을 지원하는 전략을 개발하고 이에 대한사용자의 반응을 확인하고자 하였다. 방법 이를 위하여 설계개발연구방법을 사용하여 선행연구를 고찰하고 원격화상 토론 수업 현장에서 도출한 문제점을 반영하여 초기 지원전략을 개발하고 세 차례의 전문가 타당화 검증 과정을 통해 지원전략을 수정⋅개발하였다. 그리고 표정 분석 도구 프로토타입을 개발하여 사용성 평가를 거쳐 최종 지원전략을 개발하였다. 결과 최종 지원전략은 토론 전, 중, 후 단계에 따라서 9개의 지원전략과 26개의 상세지침으로 구성되었다. 이에 대하여 사용자로부터 비언어적 요소를 동시에 파악할 수 있으며 이로 인해 적시적인 피드백 제공이 가능하나, 교수자의 개입도 강점과 동시에 자유로운토론의 방해 요소로 작동할 수 있다는 것을 확인하였다. 결론 이상의 지원전략은 표정이라는 학습분석 데이터를 활용하여 처방적 전략을 제시하였다는 점에서 의의가 있다. 또한, 인공지능기술을 적용하여 자동으로 데이터를 분석하여 결과 값을 제시하는 표정 분석 도구를 활용한 학습분석 방법의 새로운 가능성을 보여주었다.

영문 초록

Objectives In order to develop the design principles for online discussion in videoconferencing instruction, this study develops the design principles by using learning analysis data analyzed with facial expression analysis tool and confirms the user's reaction. Methods Using the design and development research method, the initial design principles was developed by analyzing previous research and problems of videoconferencing classroom field. They were modified and developed through expert validation tests for three times. A prototype of facial expression analysis tool was developed to evaluate usability, and the final design principles were developed. Results The final support strategy consists of 9 support strategies and 26 detailed guidelines, tailored to the pre-debate, during the debate, and post-debate stages. In this regard, it has been confirmed by users that the strategy enables to simultaneously perceive non-verbal elements and to provide timely feedback. However, it was also observed that the intervention of instructors can function both as a strength and as a disruptive factor to discussions. Conclusions The above design principles are significant in that it suggested the prescription using learning analysis data what is facial expressions. It showed a new possibility to apply artificial intelligence technology at learning analysis by using facial expression analysis tool that automatically analyzes present a result value.
