청소년의 스마트폰 과의존과 자아존중감이 공격성에 미치는 영향

국문 초록

목적 본 연구의 목적은 청소년이 지각한 스마트폰 과의존과 자아존중감, 공격성의 관계를 알아보는 것이다. 방법 이를 위하여 ｢한국아동⋅청소년패널조사(Korean Children and Youth Panel Survey; KCYPS) 2018｣자료 중 초등학교패널의 4차년도(2021년) 자료 2,275명의 데이터를 분석하였다. 분석 자료는 SPSS 24.0 프로그램을 사용하여 빈도분석, 신뢰도분석, 기술통계분석, 상관관계분석을 실시하였다. 스마트폰 과의존과 공격성의 관계에서 자아존중감의 매개효과를 분석하기 위해Baron과 Kenny의 매개분석과 매개효과의 유의성 검증을 위해 Sobel Test를 실시하였다. 결과 본 연구의 결과는 다음과 같다. 첫째, 청소년의 스마트폰 과의존과 공격성은 정적상관을 보였으며, 자아존중감과 공격성은부적상관을 보였다. 둘째, 스마트폰 과의존과 공격성 간의 관계에서 자아존중감은 부분매개효과를 나타내었다. 결론 본 연구는 청소년의 공격성에 스마트폰 과의존이 직접적인 영향을 미치며, 자아존중감을 통해 매개할 때 공격성이 완화됨을확인하였다. 이러한 결과는 청소년들의 스마트폰 과다 사용과 공격성 수준을 낮추기 위한 보호⋅동기 요인으로 매개할 수 있는 자아존중감을 고려한 교육프로그램 개발 및 자아존중감 증진 활동의 실천적 개입방안을 논의하였다.

영문 초록

Objectives The purpose of this study is to investigate the relationship between adolescents' smartphone overdependence, self-esteem, and aggression. Methods The data of 2,275 in the Year 4 of the Korea Children and Youth Panel Survey (KCYPS) 2018 were analyzed. The analyzed data was subjected to frequency analysis, reliability analysis, technical statistical analysis, and correlation analysis using the SPSS 24.0 program. In order to analyze the mediation effect of self-esteem in the relationship between smartphone overdependence and aggression, we conducted Baron and Kenny's mediation analysis and the Sobel Test to verify the significance of the mediation effect. Results The results of this study are as follows. First, smartphone overdependence and Aggression showed a positive correlation, Second, in the relationship between smartphone overdependence and aggression, the self-esteem concentration showed a partial mediating effect. Conclusions This study confirmed that smartphone overdependence has a direct effect on adolescents' aggression, and that aggression is alleviated when mediated through self-esteem. These results discussed practical interventions in the development of educational programs and self-esteem promotion activities that can be mediated by protection and motivation factors to lower adolescents' overuse of smartphones and aggression levels.
