지식생산공동체로서의 위키 기반 지역화 수업 지원 플랫폼 개발 연구

국문 초록

목적 이 연구는 초등학교 교사의 지역화 수업 설계를 지원하기 위한 방안으로 위키 기반 지역화 수업 지원 플랫폼을 설계, 개발하고 현직교사의 지식생산공동체 활동을 장려함으로써 학교 현장에서 나타나는 지역화 수업의 실천적인 어려움을 극복하고자 하였다. 방법 이를 위하여 설계 및 개발, 평가 과정에서의 역동적인 상호작용을 보장하는 rapid prototyping 방법론을 적용하였다. 먼저, 요구조사와 문헌연구를 통해 플랫폼을 설계하였으며 2차에 걸친 프로토타입 개발과 설문조사 방식의 사용성 평가 및 개선을 반복적으로 실시하여 최종 플랫폼을 개발하였다. 또한 최종 플랫폼에 대한 사용자 경험을 분석하여 위키 기반 지역화 수업 지원 플랫폼의 가치와 개선점을 도출하였다. 결과 Java 언어에 기반하여 개발된 최종 플랫폼은 WYSIWYG 방식의 편집모드로 손쉬운 자료 수정이 가능하며, 토론, 히스토리, 통계정보 등의 기능을 갖췄다. 지식생산공동체 활동을 통해 초기 약 300건이었던 지역의 위키 문서는 현재 765건으로 2배 이상 증가하였으며, 사용자들은 이 플랫폼의 유용한 점으로 교사의 지역화 수업 설계 지원, 지역화 자료의 최신화, 학생들을 위한 효과적인 학습자원, 서책형 자료의 한계 보완, 집단지성의 경험 제공을 언급하였다. 반면, 학생들의 눈높이 반영, 정보의 질적 관리, 정보 생산력 강화, 사용자 간 상호작용성 강화, 참여자 확대 등의 후속 과제도 확인되었다. 결론 이 연구는 위키를 활용한 지식생산공동체 활동으로 학교 현장의 어려움을 실천적으로 지원하였다는 점과 위키 기반 지식생산공동체 설계 시 고려해야 할 중요한 시사점을 도출했다는 데 의의가 있다.

영문 초록

Objectives This study aims to overcome the practical difficulties of regionalization instruction in elementary schools by designing and developing a Wiki-based platform to assist elementary school teachers' instruction design as a knowledge-building community. Methods To this end, this study applied a rapid prototyping methodology for dynamic interactions in the design, development, and evaluation process. First, We designed the platform by conducting a literature review and a needs analysis. Moreover, We developed the final platform through two formative cycles of prototype development and usability evaluation. Through the user experience analysis of the finally developed platform, the value and improvement points of the wiki-based regionalization instruction support platform were derived. Results The final platform is a wiki platform based on Java, allowing easy materials modification through WYSIWYG editing. It has functions such as discussion, history, and statistical information. The number of wiki articles in the area, which was about 300 initially, has more than doubled to 765. As a result of user experience analysis, the usefulness of this platform is to support the design of regionalization instruction for teachers, update regionalization materials, provide effective learning resources for students, supplement the limits of book-type materials, and provide the experience of collective intelligence. On the other hand, we also confirmed subsequent issues such as reflection of students' level, management quality of information, enhancement of information productivity, enhancement of interactivity between users, and expansion of participants. Conclusions This study is significant in that it provided practical support for the difficulties faced by teachers through using wikis as a knowledge-building community and that it derived meaningful suggestions that should be considered when designing wiki-based knowledge-building communities.
