한국판 정서 인식 수준 척도 개발 및 타당화 연구

국문 초록

목적 본 연구에서는 개인의 정서인식 수준을 실행기반으로 평가할 수 있는 척도로 정서인식 수준 척도를 번안하여 한국어판으로 타당화하고자 하였다. 정서인식수준척도(LEAS)는 개인의 정서인식 수준을 제 3의 평정자가 신체감각, 행동경향성, 단일정서, 복합정서, 그리고 복합정서의 조합이라는 5단계로 평가한다. 방법 임상 및 상담심리 전문가 3인의 번역후 이중언어 사용자의 역번역 및 원저자 확인을 통해 한국판 정서인식척도(K-LEAS)의 시나리오를 확정하였다. 연구 대상은 수도권 대학생으로 총 218명의 자료가 분석되었고, 2명의 평정자가 K-LEAS 점수를 평정하였다. SPSS를 이용해 척도의 평정자간 일치도, 내적 일치도를 분석하였고, 타당도 분석을 위해 TAS-20, TMMS, DASS-21, NEO-PI-RS와의 상관을 분석하였다. 또한 성별과 언어-문화간 LEAS 점수차를 확인하기 위해 t-검증 및 ANOVA를 실시하였다. 결과 K-LEAS는 높은 평정자간 일치도와 내적 일치도를 보였다. 또한 K-LEAS는 TAS-20, TMMS 등 기존의 자기보고식 설문지와 유의한 상관을 보이지 않았고, NEO-PI-RS 중 개방성과만 정적 상관을 보였다. 또한 K-LEAS는 우울, 불안과 유의한 상관을 보이지 않았다. 국가별 비교에서 한국 대학생의 LEAS점수는 미국 대학생의 점수와 비슷하고, 일본의 대학생보다 높게 나타났다. 결론 K-LEAS는 충분한 신뢰도를 가지고 있었으나, 기존의 자기보고식 정서인식 척도와는 수렴타당도를 보이지 않았는데, 이는 K-LEAS가 자기보고식 척도와는 다른 차원의 정서인식 능력을 측정하는 것으로 시사된다. 그동안 한국의 정서관련 연구는 주관적인 자기보고식 설문 연구에 지나치게 의존해 온 경향이 있는 바, 보다 객관적으로 개인의 정서인식 능력을 측정하기 위한 수행 기반의 평가도구로서 K-LEAS가 활용될 수 있을 것으로 기대한다.

영문 초록

Objectives The Levels of Emotional Awareness Scale (LEAS) was developed to assess the emotional awareness construct, based on a cognitive-developmental perspective. This study aimed to develop the Korean version of LEAS (K-LEAS) and prove it's reliability and validity. Methods Through data from 218 university students, inter-rater reliability and internal consistency of K-LEAS were analyzed. Criterion validity were analyzed by the relationships with TAS-20, TMMS, DASS-21 and NEO-PI-RS. Results The results Showed high inter-rater reliability and internal consistency. K-LEAS scores were not significantly correlated with DASS-21 and total score of TAS-20, except externally-oriented thinking subscale in TAS-20. K-LEAS showed a significant positive correlation with only openness among NEO-PI- RSsubscales. In addition, women had significantly higher scores than men on K-LEAS, supporting the cross-cultural consistency in gender difference. In comparison between countries, the level of emotional awareness of Korean university students was similar to that of American university students, and higher than that of Japanese university students. Conclusions Although K-LEAS has sufficient reliability, it does not show convergent validity with existing self-report scale, which is suggested that K-LEAS measures emotional awareness ability in a different dimension from the self-report scale. Until now, Korean emotional research has tended to rely too much on self-report questionnaire research, and K-LEAS is expected to be used as a tool to evaluate individual emotional awareness ability not only in a subjective manner but also in objective performance.
