중년 대상 음악문화예술교육 연구 동향

국문 초록

목적 본 연구에서는 국내에서 이루어진 중년 음악문화예술교육 연구 동향을 분석하고 앞으로의 과제에 대해 논의하였다. 방법 이를 위해 ‘중년’, ‘성인’, ‘음악문화예술교육’, ‘음악’, ‘합창’, ‘연주’의 주요 검색 키워드를 중심으로 논문 검색 절차를 거치고, 네 단계의 논문 선별 과정과 전문가의 검토를 통해 선정된 20편의 논문을 6개의 분류범주에 따라 분석하고 전문가의 평정 과정을 거쳐 신뢰성과 타당성을 확보하고자 노력하며 분석하였다. 결과 연구는 2011-2015년부터 증가하였으며, 석사논문이 가장 높은 비율을 차지하였다. 연구대상은 주로 40-60대 중년여성이었고, 연구목적은 효과 및 영향 분석이 주를 이루었다. 또한, 개인영역 주제가 많이 다루어졌으며, 연구의 방법으로는 양적연구가, 그리고 음악활동 종류로는 노래부르기 활동을 적용한 연구를 중심으로 이루어져 왔다. 결론 이를 통해 중년남성 대상 연구, 프로그램 개발 및 콘텐츠 발굴 연구, 문헌연구 및 질적연구 접근이 필요함을 알 수 있었다. 향후 이상의 연구들이 이루어진다면 중년 음악문화예술교육의 설계 및 학문적⋅실천적 활용과 발전에 기여할 수 있을 것이다.

영문 초록

Objectives This study aims to analyze the trends of research on music and cultural arts education for middle-aged adults in South Korea and discuss future challenges. Methods To achieve the research objectives, the study conducted a literature search using key terms such as ‘middle-aged’, ‘adults’, ‘music and cultural arts education’, ‘music’, ‘choir’, and ‘performance’. Following a four-step selection process, 20 relevant papers were analyzed based on established analytical categories. Results The research has increased since 2011-2015, with master's theses comprising the highest proportion. The primary subjects of these studies were middle-aged women aged 40-60, focusing mainly on the analysis of effects and impacts. Personal domain topics were frequently addressed, with quantitative research being the predominant method. Among the various music activities, singing was the most commonly studied. Conclusions The findings highlight the need for further research targeting middle-aged men, the development of programs and content exploration, as well as literature reviews and qualitative research approaches. Future studies in these areas could contribute to the design and advancement of music and cultural arts education for middle-aged adults, both academically and practically.
