고등교육 질 관련 연구 동향 분석 및 키워드 네트워크 분석 연구

국문 초록

목적 본 연구는 내용분석 및 키워드 네트워크 분석법을 활용하여 2013년~2024년 3월 사이에 발간된 연구물을 대상으로 국내 고등교육 질과 관련된 연구 동향을 탐색하고 분석하기 위해 수행되었다. 방법 이를 위해 국내 고등교육 질 관련 연구들을 대상으로 선정기준을 통해 분석대상 문헌 총 277편을 선별한 후, 양적 내용 분석을 통해 연구 동향분석을 실시하였다. 또한, 문헌으로부터 키워드를 추출하여 키워드출현빈도, 동시출현빈도, 연결중심성 및 커뮤니티 분석을 수행하고 고등교육 질 관련 연구에 관한 키워드 네트워크 패턴을 탐색하였다. 결과 분석결과는 다음과 같다. 첫째, 내용분석 결과, 고등교육 질과 관련된 연구는 전체적으로 증가하고 있는 추세였으며, 이러한 연구동향은 정부 정책의 영향을 받고 있는 것으로 나타났다. 가장 많이 수행된 것으로 확인된 연구주제는 ‘성과관리 및 기관연구’에 관한 연구였다. 둘째, 키워드 분석 결과, ‘학습성과’, ‘교육성과’, ‘질 관리’ 등과 같은 키워드의 출현빈도 및 연결중심성이 높게 나타나 산출 및 성과를 중심으로 관련 연구가 수행되고 있음을 확인하였다. 이와 함께, ‘학습경험’, ‘학생참여’, ‘교수-학생 상호작용’ 등의 키워드가 해당 핵심 키워드들과 비교적 높은 관련성을 가지고 함께 탐색되고 있는 것으로 확인되었다. 결론 국내 고등교육 질 관련 연구는 정부 정책의 영향을 받고 있으며, 주로 산출 및 성과 측면에 중점을 두고 수행되고 있다는 점에서 고등교육 질 관련 연구주제의 다양화 및 활성화를 도울 수 있는 정부의 다양한 정책적 지원방안이 모색될 필요가 있다.

영문 초록

Objectives This study was conducted to explore and analyze research trends related to the quality of higher education in South Korea by utilizing content analysis and keyword network analysis methods. The target period for the analysis includes publications released between 2013 and March 2024. Methods To achieve this, relevant literature on the quality of higher education in South Korea was selected for analysis. Quantitative content analysis was employed to investigate research trends. Additionally, keywords were extracted from the literature, and analyses of keyword occurrence frequency, co-occurrence frequency, centrality, and community were performed to explore keyword network patterns related to higher education quality. Results The results of the analysis are as follows. First, content analysis revealed that research related to the quality of higher education has been generally increasing, influenced by government policies. The most frequently studied topic was found to be ‘performance management and institutional research’. Second, keyword analysis showed that keywords such as ‘learning outcomes’, ‘educational outcomes’, and ‘quality management’ had high frequency and centrality, indicating that related research has been focused on outputs and performance. Additionally, keywords like ‘learning experience’, ‘student engagement’, and ‘faculty-student interaction’ were found to be relatively highly associated with these core keywords. Conclusions The study concludes that research on the quality of higher education in South Korea is influenced by government policies and is primarily focused on outputs and performance. Therefore, there is a need for diverse policy support from the government to diversify and invigorate research topics related to the quality of higher education.
