국문 초록

이 연구의 목적은 ‘언어 이데올로기(language ideology)’가 차별 언어 교육에 적용될 만한 충분한 교육적 가치가 있음을 밝히는 것이다. 차별 언어에 대한 효과적인 교육은 국어 교육이 담당해야 할 시대적과제이기에 적절한 교육 방향에 대한 논의가 필요하다. 또한 언어 이데올로기를 활용한 차별 언어 교육은 문법 교육의 가치를 확고히 할 것이다. 본고는 이에 따라 차별 언어에 대한 교육 방향을 설정할 때사회언어학과 언어인류학에서 주로 연구되고 있는 언어 이데올로기 이론을 적극적으로 활용해야 함을주장하는 바이다. 이것에 대한 합당한 근거를 밝히기 위해 본고는 우선적으로 언어 이데올로기에 따른언어 선택이 개인의 정체성을 효과적으로 드러내는 것임을 선행 연구 검토를 통해 밝히고, 이를 활용하여 차별 언어의 교육 방향을 제안하였다.

영문 초록

The purpose of this study is to reveal that 'language ideology' has sufficient educational value to be applied to discriminatory language education. Effective education on discriminatory languages is a task of the times, so it is necessary to discuss the appropriate direction of discriminatory language education. In addition, discriminatory language education using language ideology will solidify the value of grammar education. This paper argues that the theory of language ideology, which is mainly studied in sociolinguistics and linguistic anthropology, should be actively used when setting the direction of education on discriminatory languages. In order to reveal a reasonable basis for this, this paper first reveals through a review of previous studies that language choice according to language ideology effectively reveals individual identity, and uses language ideology to suggest the direction of education in discriminatory languages.
