국문 초록

본 연구의 목적은 성인기 이후 시각에 손상을 입은 중도시각장애인의 외상 후 성장을 위한 음악 프로그램을 개발하고, 참여자들이 경험한 실제적인 변화를 심층적으로 살펴보는 것이다. 이를 위해 B시에소재한 K시각장애인복지관을 이용 중인 중도시각장애인 8명을 대상으로 총 8회기의 음악 프로그램을진행하고, 프로그램 수행 전·후 동일한 질문지로 개별 인터뷰를 실시한 후 이를 질적 내용분석 하였다. 연구 결과, 참여자들은 음악을 통해 위로와 격려를 경험하며, 지지적 관계 속에서 자신과 시각장애에대한 새로운 시각을 가지고, 현재를 마주하고 미래를 살아갈 힘을 얻게 된 것으로 나타났다. 이는 중도시각장애인을 위한 외상 후 성장 음악 프로그램이 자기표현, 자기수용 및 자기확장을 통해 삶을 재정립하는 데에 기여할 수 있다는 것을 제안하였다는 점에 의의를 갖는다.

영문 초록

The purpose of this study was to develope music programs for the post-traumatic growth of people with adventitious visual impairments after adulthood and to in-depth examine the practical changes experienced by the participants. For this, a total of 8 music programs were provided for 8 individuals with adventitious visual impairments using K welfare center for the visually impaired located in B city, and individual interviews were conducted with the same questionnaire before and after the programs, and qualitative content analysis was performed. As a result, it was found that the participants experienced comfort and encouragement in music and gained the strength to confront with the present and to live for the future with a new vision on visual impairment as well as themselves in a supportive relationship. It is meaningful that this study suggests that music programs for the post-traumatic growth of individuals with adventitious visual impairments could contribute to redefining life through self-expression, self-acceptance, and self-expansion.
