중도입국 청소년 한국어 학습자를 위한 하브루타 기반 언어문화 교수방안 연구

국문 초록

중도입국 청소년들이 한국의 관습과 규범을 이해하는 담화공동체 구성원으로 인정받기 위해서는 언어 능력과 사회문화적 관습과 규범에 대한 문화 이해 능력을 갖추어야 한다. 이 연구는 담화공동체의 사회문화적 관습과 규범을 기반으로 하여 굳어진 표현으로 사회언어학적인 측면과 화용적인 측면이 강조된‘관용표현’에 초점을 두고 진행하였다. 중도입국 청소년을 대상으로 언어문화 학습에서 겪는 어려움을 살펴보기 위해 설문조사와 심층면접 조사를 하여 이를수업 개발의 기초 자료로 삼았고, 중도입국 청소년을 위한 한국어 교재 분석을 통해 제시된 관용표현의 부족함을 알아냈다. 이러한 내용을 바탕으로 혁신적 교수법인 플립러닝과 학습자 중심의 하브루타를 적용하여 교수방안을 마련하였다. 플립러닝의 Pre class에서는‘도입-제시-연습-마무리-과제제시’단계로 제시하여 선학습에서 관용표현에 대한 지식을 쌓고In class에서는 미리 제시된 과제를 수행하는 단계로 하브루타의 여러 유형에서‘친구 가르치기’를 적용하여 서로 가르치고배우며 질문하고 토론하는 과정을 거쳐 자기주도적인 학습이 가능하도록 유도하였다. 이는 중도입국 청소년을 위한 언어문화 교육방안의 구체적인 모형을 제시하여 실제적 사용으로 확장을 가능하게 하였다는 데 의의가 있다고 본다.

영문 초록

Immigrant adolescents need to have language skills and abilities to understand culture regarding social and cultural customs and norms to get recognized as members of a discourse community that understands Korea’s customs and norms. This study focused on “idiomatic expressions” emphasizing sociolinguistic and pragmatic aspects as expressions consolidated based on the social and cultural customs and norms of a discourse community in a subtype of language culture. In this study, a survey and an in-depth interview were conducted to examine immigrant adolescents difficulties with the study of language culture. The results were used as basic data to develop a lesson. In addition, Korean teaching materials for immigrant adolescents were analyzed to find the shortage of proverbs and idioms. Based on these findings, the investigator applied the innovative teaching method flipped learning and student-centered Havruta to devise teaching plans. At the pre-class stage of flipped learning, students were encouraged to accumulate knowledge about idiomatic expressions from the previous study according to the stages of “introduction, presentation, practice, wrap-up, and task presentations.” At the in-class stage, they carried out given tasks. “Teaching peers” was applied to the various types of Havruta to induce students to do self-directed learning in a process of teaching, learning, asking questions, and discussing each other. The study is significant in that it proposed a specific model for the educational plans of language culture and enabled its expansion through real uses for immigrant adolescents.
