대학생의 ‘유의미한 학습경험’에 대한 인식 탐색

국문 초록

본 연구는 지방 소재 A대학의 대학생이 인식하는 ‘유의미한 학습 경험’의 양상을 탐색하는데 목적이 있다. 이러한 연구 목적을 달성하기 위하여 A대학의 교양 수업을 수강하는 42명의 학생이 대학 생활 과정에서 겪은 유의미한 학습 경험에 대해 작성한 성찰적 에세이를 분석 자료로 활용하였다. 질적 내용분석 방법인 문서분석 방법을 적용하였다. 연구 결과 연구 참여 학생들은 ‘심층 학습과 전공 및 진로에 대한 확신’, ‘배운 내용과 실생활의 연결’, ‘스스로에 대한 이해와성찰 및 자기주도적 참여’, ‘전환’과 ‘성취’, ‘교수와의 상호작용을 통한 성장’을 유의미한 학습 경험으로 인식하였다. 본연구 결과는 유의미한 학습 경험에 대한 이론적 발달에 기여하며, 대학생들에게 유의미한 학습 경험을 촉진할 수 있는대학 차원의 전략 마련에 대한 실천적 시사점을 제공한다.

영문 초록

The purpose of this study is to explore the aspect of significant learning experiences’ perceived by students at A university located in a provincial area. In order to achieve this research purpose, a reflective essay written about the significant learning experiences of 42 students taking liberal arts classes at A University was used as an analysis data. A document research method, which is a qualitative content analysis method, was applied. As a result of the study, the students participating in the study were ‘deep learning and confidence in their major and career’, ‘connection between what they learned and their real life’, ‘understanding and self-reflection and self-directed participation’, ‘transition’ and ‘achievement’, ‘growth through faculty-student interaction’ was recognized as a significant learning experience. The results of this study contribute to the theoretical development of significant learning experiences, and provide practical implications for the preparation of university-level strategies that can promote significant learning experiences for university students.
