국문 초록

중학교 교사에게 교육연구대회는 어떤 경험과 의미일까? 이 연구는 교육연구대회에 참여한 중학교 교사들의 동기와 경험을 이해하고 그 과정에서 어떻게 성장하는지 파악하고자 하였다. 이를 위해 교육연구대회 참여 경험이 있는 중학교 교사 6명을 대상으로 질적 사례 연구를 수행하였다. 주요 연구 결과는 다음과 같다. 교육연구대회에 참여한 교사들은 첫째, 연구대회 참여를 통해 자신의 교육 활동에 대해 ‘심리적 보상’을 받고자 하였고, ‘권위 있는 검증’을 통해 자신의 노력에 대해 의미 있는 한 줄 기록을 남기고자 하였다. 또한 교직 생활의 터닝 포인트로서 교과 전문가 되기, 학교생활의 동력 되찾기 등을 통한 ‘연구동력 장착’을 위해 대회에 참여하였다. 둘째, 학생과 함께 단계를 밟아가며 대회를 위한 ‘환경 구축’을 통해 결과보다는 과정에 집중하였으며, 교사들과 관계맺음을 통한 ‘협력과 융합’, 기존 입상작과의 접목과 차별화를 통한 ‘불확실성 극복’ 등을 경험하였다. 셋째, 연구 참여자들은 입상자라는 명예와 연구점수 획득이라는 ‘객관적 보상’을 받았으며, 연구하는 교사로서 ‘전문성 신장’에 대한 자부심을 바탕으로 ‘지속적 노력’을 하겠다고 다짐하였다. 이러한 연구결과를 바탕으로, 중학교 교사들이 교육연구대회에 참여하는 동기와 성과가 현재의 교육 활동에 대한 객관적 검증과 심리적 보상, 계속적인 전문성 신장의 동력임을 확인하였고, 이러한 순기능을 더욱 끌어낼 수 있는 방향으로 교육연구대회가 운영될 필요가 있다.

영문 초록

What is the experience and meaning of the Education Research Contest for middle school teachers? The study sought to understand the motivation and experience of middle school teachers who participated in the educational research competition and to understand how they grew up in the process. For this purpose, the motivation to participate in research competitions of middle school teachers, elements of experience, and awareness of growth after experience were drawn as the research problems. To this study, a qualitative case study was conducted with six middle school teachers with experience in participating in the educational research competitions. Results are as follows. The teachers who participated in the education research competition wanted to receive ‘psychological compensation’ for their educational activities through participation in the research contest, and to leave a meaningful one-line record of their efforts through authoritative verification . Also, through participation in the competition, the teachers participated in the competition to become a turning point for teaching and to find the power of school life. While focusing more on the process than on the second result, they experienced building an environment through step-by-step with students, ‘cooperation and convergence’ through establishing relationships with fellow teachers, and overcoming uncertainty through grafting and differentiation. Third, participants in the study received the honor of being a winner and the objective reward of obtaining research scores. Middle school teachers an incentive to participate in the competition and the performance of the current educational research and educational activities for the objective verification and that psychological power of the kidney compensation : the continuing professionalism.OK, and this needs to be operational more senior education research in the direction of race that is capable of eliciting some good effects.
