유아안전교육 프로그램에 대한 보육교사의 인식 및 요구

국문 초록

본 연구는 보육교사의 요구를 반영한 안전교육 프로그램 개발을 위하여 안전교육에 대한 보육교사들의 인식과 실태를 알아보고 그 해결방안으로 스토리텔링을 활용한 창의적 문제해결중심 유아안전교육에 대한 요구를 알아보고자 하였다. 연구대상은 B시에 소재한 어린이집 교사 212명을 대상으로 조사하였다. 연구결과는 다음과 같다. 첫째, 보육교사들은 유아기 안전사고의 위험성이 높기 때문에 위험에 대한 인식과 사고예방을 위하여 체계적인 안전교육계획을 수립해야 한다고 인식하고 있었다. 둘째, 보육교사들은 상황중심 안전교육, 영상자료 및 이야기나누기를 가장 많이 활용하고 있었으며 활용 가능한 프로그램이 부족하여 프로그램 개발의 필요성을 인식하고 있었다. 셋째, 보육교사들은 일상생활 속 상황에 근거한 안전교육 내용을 스토리텔링으로 활용하여 동기를 유발하고, 다양한 해결책을 제시하고 합리적으로 안전문제를 해결할 수 있는 창의적 문제해결중심 유아안전교육 프로그램 개발을 요구하고 있었다. 따라서 본 연구는 보육교사들의 요구를 적극적으로 반영하여 스토리텔링을 활용한 창의적 문제해결중심 유아안전교육 프로그램이 필요함을 보여주었다.

영문 초록

For developing safety education programs reflecting the requirements of childcare teachers, this report plans to examine the awareness and the status of childcare teachers concerning safety education, and as a solution to survey the demands for early childhood safety education focusing on creative problem-solving methods using storytelling. The subjects to the study were 212 teachers working at daycare centers in B city. The analysis results are as follows. First, childcare teachers recognized that they should establish a systematic safety education plan for awareness of dangers and accident prevention because early childhood is a period of high risks of safety accidents. Second, the respondents used a situation-centered safety education, audiovisual materials, and the story sharing activity the most, and recognized the necessity of program development due to lack of available programs. Third, they demanded the development of early childhood safety education programs focusing on creative problem-solving methods, which can enhance motivation, provide various solutions and solve safety problems reasonably using safety education contents based on real-life situations as storytelling. Therefore, this study shows that the necessity for early childhood safety education programs focusing on creative problem-solving methods using storytelling that actively reflect childcare teachers’ demands.
