국문 초록

본 연구는 청소년의 인권존중 경험이 삶의 만족도에 미치는 영향과 이 관계에서 자아존중감의 매개 효과를 검증하는데 목적이 있다. 이를 위해 2017년 한국 아동·청소년 인권실태조사에서 수집 공개한 데이터를 활용 분석하였다. 대상은 중학교 1학년~고등학교 3학년 6,350명이다. 기술통계분석과 상관분석을 통해 각 변인의 일반적 관련성을 파악하였으며, PROCESS macro를 이용하여 자아존중감의 매개 효과를 검증하였다. 분석 결과 첫째, 청소년의 인권존중 경험은 삶의 만족도에 유의미한 영향을 미치는 것으로 나타났다. 둘째, 인권존중 경험은 자아존중감에 유의미한 영향을 미치는 것으로 나타났다. 셋째, 자아존중감은 인권존중 경험과 삶의 만족도 관계를 부분 매개하는 것으로 나타났다. 본 연구 결과를 토대로 청소년의 삶의 만족도를 높이기 위한 일환으로 청소년 인권에 대한 긍정적 측면에서의 교육프로그램 개발과 자아존중감 프로그램의 대상 확대 및 다양한 운영의 필요성을 제안하였다. 또한, 자료 검증을 토대로 한 연구에 대한 한계점 및 후속연구에 대해 제언하였다.

영문 초록

The purpose of this study is to verify the effects of youth s respect for human rights on life satisfaction and the mediating effect of self-esteem in this relationship. To this end, we analyzed the data collected from the 2017 Human Rights Survey of Korean Children and Youth. The subjects are 6,350 students in the first grade of middle school to the third grade of high school. The general relevance of each variable was identified through descriptive statistics analysis and correlation analysis, and the mediating effect of self-esteem was verified using the PROCESS macro. As a result of the analysis, first, it was found that adolescents respect for human rights had a significant effect on life satisfaction. Second, experience of respect for human rights was found to have a significant effect on self-esteem. Third, self-esteem was found to mediate the relationship between human rights respect experience and life satisfaction. Based on the results of this study, as a part of enhancing the satisfaction of adolescents life, the necessity of developing educational programs in the positive aspect of youth human rights, expanding the targets of self-esteem programs, and suggesting various operations. Also, limitations and follow-up studies for research based on data verification were suggested.
