예비유아교사의 정서지능 관련 연구동향

국문 초록

목적 본 연구는 예비유아교사의 정서지능과 관련된 연구동향을 알아보기 위해 수행되었다. 본 연구를 통해 도출된 결과를 바탕으로 관련 연구의 성과와 흐름을 확인하고, 향후 다루어져야 할 후속연구의 방향성과 정서지능을 증진시킬 교사교육 프로그램을 위한 시사점을 제시하는 데 목적을 둔다. 방법 예비유아교사 정서지능 관련 연구가 시작된 2011년을 시작으로 2023년 12월까지 이루어진 예비유아교사 정서지능 관련 연구 중 학술지에 게재된 38편, 학위논문 4편, 총 42편의 연구를 대상으로 분석하였다. 연구시기별 동향, 연구주제 동향, 연구방법의 동향 등을 중심으로 분석되었다. 결과 첫째, 예비유아교사의 정서지능 관련 연구는 2011년부터 시작되었으며 2016년부터는 꾸준한 증가 추세를 보였다. 둘째, 예비유아교사의 정서지능과 관련하여 가장 많이 수행되어진 연구주제는 예비유아교사의 정서지능과 관련된 변인을 탐색하는 연구, 그중에서도 학업⋅교직 관련 변인이 가장 많은 것으로 나타났다. 셋째, 예비유아교사의 정서지능 관련 연구의 연구유형은 양적연구, 그중에서도 상관연구가 가장 많았으며, 자료수집방법은 검사 및 척도가, 자료분석방법은 관계검증이 가장 많은 것으로 나타났다. 예비유아교사의 정서지능 연구에서 주로 사용된 검사도구는 Wong과 Law의 척도였으며, 예비유아교사의 정서지능은 연구에서 종속변인, 매개변인보다는 독립변인으로 더 많이 활용되어졌다. 결론 예비유아교사의 정서지능과 관련된 연구는 약 13년 전부터 시작되어 꾸준히 수행되어지고 있으며 현재까지도 다양한 변인들과의 관련성 중심으로 연구가 활발하게 이루어지고 있다. 이러한 연구성과와 더불어 연구주제의 다양화를 위해 정서지능 관련 변인을 탐색하는 연구에서 한 걸음 더 나아가 예비유아교사의 정서지능을 증진시킬 수 있는 다양한 프로그램 개발에 대한 연구, 척도 개발 연구가 필요하며, 문헌연구, 질적 연구 등 연구방법의 다양화가 필요함을 제안하였다.

영문 초록

Objectives This study aims to identify research trends related to the emotional intelligence of preservice early childhood teachers. Based on the findings, the study seeks to identify the current state and trajectory of realted research, suggest directions for future studies, and present implications for teacher education programs that will improve emotional intelligence. Methods The analysis was carried out based on 42 studies on emotional intelligence for preservice early childhood teachers conducted between 2011 and 2023. This comprised 38 academic journal articles and 4 thesis papers. The analysis focused on identifying trends and patterns across research period, research themes and research methodologies. Results First, research on emotional intelligence of preservice early childhood teachers began in 2011 and has been steadily increasing since 2016. Second, the most frequently explored themes were variables related to the emotional intelligence of preservice early childhood teachers, particularly academic and teaching profession variables. Third, Quantitative studies, especially correlations studies were the most commonly used methodologies. Data collection predominantly involved tests and scales. Data analysis mainly focused on relational verification. The Wong and Law Emotional Intelligence Scale was often used as a common tool. Emotional intelligence was more commonly used as an indefendant variable than a defendant or mediation variable. Conclusions Research on emotional intelligence of preservice early childhood teachers has been steadily increasing for about 13 years, primarily focusing on its relations with wide-ranging variables. Future research should focused on further developing diverse programs aimed at enhansing emotional intelligence among preservice early childhood teachers. This entails creating new scales and diversify research methods, which may include literature reviews and qualitative studies.
