유아교사의 디지털 역량 인식 수준 분석과 디지털 교육내용 구성 방안

목적 본 연구에서는 유아교사들의 디지털 역량 강화를 위한 지원 방안을 마련하기 위해 유아교사가 인식하는 디지털 역량의 중요도와 실제 수준을 조사하고 디지털 교육내용 구성안을 제안하고자 한다. 방법 이를 위해 유아교사 235명을 대상으로 설문조사를 실시하여 디지털 역량의 중요도와 실제수준에 대한 차이를 배경 특성별로 분석하고 전문가 델파이 조사를 통해 디지털 교육내용 구성안에 대한 타당성을 검토하였다. 결과 첫째, 유아교사의 디지털 역량에 대한 중요도와 실제 수준간의 차이를 분석한 결과 통계적으로 유의미한 차이가 나타났고 실제수준에 비해 중요도 인식수준이 더 높게 나타났다. 둘째, 디지털 역량의 중요도와 실제 수준에 있어 유아교육 기관 유형별, 유아교사 경력별 및 담당 학급 유아연령에 따라 통계적으로 유의미한 차이가 나타났다. 셋째, 유아교사들의 디지털 역량강화를 위한 교육내용을 도출하기 위해 3차에 걸친 전문가 델파이 조사를 실시한 결과 ‘디지털 사회와 기술 이해’, ‘디지털 기술 활용’, ‘디지털 윤리 이해 및 실천’으로 대영역이 분류되고 각 대영역에 따라 세부영역, 교육주제 및 교육내용이 구성되었다. 결론 본 연구의 결과는 유아교사들의 디지털 역량을 강화하기 위한 교육내용의 구성 방안을 제시해 줌으로써 디지털 역량 강화 교사 교육 프로그램을 개발하고 운영하는데 기반 자료로 사용될 수 있다.

영문 초록

Objectives The purpose of this study is to investigate the perceived importance and actual levels of digital competency among early childhood teachers and to suggest a framework for digital education content. Methods For this purpose, a survey was conducted with 235 early childhood teachers to analyze the differences between the perceived importance and actual levels of digital competency based on background characteristics. Additionally, a Delphi survey with experts was conducted to review the validity of the proposed digital education content framework. Results First, the analysis of the difference between the importance and actual level of digital competence among early childhood teachers showed a statistically significant difference, with the perceived importance level being higher than the actual level. Second, statistically significant differences were found in the importance and actual levels of digital competency based on the type of early childhood education institution, the career length of the early childhood teachers, and the age group of the children they were in charge of. Third, a three-round Delphi survey with experts was conducted to derive the educational content to enhance the digital competency of early childhood teachers. The main areas were classified into understanding digital society and technology, utilizing digital technology, and understanding and practicing digital ethics. Each main area was further broken down into detailed areas, educational topics, and content. Conclusions The results of this study provide meaningful foundational data for developing and implementing a digital competency teacher education program by presenting educational content for enhancing the digital competency of early childhood teachers.
