국문 초록

본 연구는 한국어 교사의 성격 특성이 상호문화역량에 미치는 영향에서 자기효능감의 매개효과를 확인하는 것이다. 이를 위해 한국어 교사 354명의 설문조사 자료를 분석했다. 본 연구의 결과는 다음과 같다. 첫째, 한국어교사의 인구사회학적 특성은 상호문화역량에 부분적으로 영향을 미치는 것으로 나타났다(성별, 근무 기관 유형, 교육 경력, 한국어교원 자격 등급, 학습자 유형 경험). 둘째, 한국어 교사의 성격 특성은 상호문화역량에 부분적으로영향을 미치는 것으로 나타났다(개방성, 성실성, 친화성). 셋째, 한국어 교사의 성격 특성과 상호문화역량의 관계에서 자기효능감은 매개효과가 있는 것으로 나타났다. 넷째, 상호문화역량 향상에 공통적으로 영향을 많이 미치는요인은 ‘자신감’, ‘친화성’, ‘성실성’, ‘교육 경력’과 ‘한국어교원 자격 등급’으로 나타났다. 이러한 결과를 통해 한국어 교사의 상호문화역량 증진을 위한 자기효능감 향상 프로그램 및 교육의 필요성을 제시했다.

영문 초록

This study confirms the mediating effect of self-efficacy attitudes on the impact of Korean language teachers’ personalities on intercultural competence. To this end, survey data on 354 Korean language teachers were used for the analysis. The results are as follows: First, the sociodemographic characteristics of Korean language teachers were confirmed to partially affect intercultural competence(gender, workplace type, teaching experience, qualification system, and learner group). Second, the personalities of Korean language teachers were confirmed to partially affect intercultural competence(openness, conscientiousness, and agreeableness). Third, an analysis of the mediating effect of self-efficacy showed that the impact of Korean language teachers’ personalities on intercultural competence was statistically significant. Fourth, the influential factors that explained the improvement in Korean language teachers’ intercultural competence consisted of confidence, friendliness, conscientiousness, teaching experience, and qualification system. These results suggest the necessity of education and the development of self-efficacy enhancement programs for Korean language teachers.
