국문 초록

‘음식으로 만나는 중국’은 팬데믹 시대의 제한성 속에서도 글로벌 문화교육을 목표로 하는 대학교양수업이다. 이 수업은 국내 학생 뿐 아니라 중국 국적의 학생 등, 국적과 문화가 다른 다양한 배경의 학습자가 참여하는 수업이기에 서로 다른 교육에의 기대치, 서로 다른 능력을 지닌 학습자로 구성된다. 그러나 중국음식이라는 누구나공감할 수 있는 콘텐츠가 이 수업의 주제이기에 ‘음식으로 만나는 중국’의 학습자는 팀 발표에 있어서 자신들의고유한 문화적 배경과 능력을 발휘하여 팀의 결과물 제작에 공헌할 수 있었다. 본 논문에서는 ‘음식으로 만나는중국’을 통해 도출된 발표의 실제 예시를 소개하고 분석하며 이 수업이 음식, 문화 기반의 융합적 사고를 꾀하고있음을 논증하였다. 또한 타문화의 음식을 수용하고 이해하며 학습자는 글로벌 문화역량을 함양하였음도 적시하였다. ‘음식으로 만나는 중국’ 수업은 온라인 줌 기반으로 실시되었기에 비대면의 상황 속에서도 교수자와 학습자 및학습자 간의 소통을 다양한 방법으로 모색해야 되었다. 즉 온라인 환경의 학습자가 학습자 실재감을 체득하기 위해 이 수업에서 교수자는 의사소통, 교육경험, 교육내용, 학습분위기라는 세부 방안에서 학습자와의 유대감 형성에적극 노력하였다. 그 결과 학습자는 단단한 탐구공동체를 만들어 학습자실재감을 체득하였고 이는 곧 글로벌 문화육이라는 수업의 목표를 달성하는 것으로 이어졌다.

영문 초록

Liberal Arts Class ‘Encountering China through the Lens of Food’ aimed at global cultural education despite the limitations of the Pandemic era. This class is attended not only by domestic students but also by students of Chinese nationality and culture from various backgrounds. Therefore, this class consists of learners with different educational expectations and different abilities. However, the theme of this class is Chinese food that anyone can relate to. In ‘Encountering China through the Lens of Food’, learners were able to contribute to the production of team results by demonstrating their own cultural background and abilities in team presentation. In this paper, we introduced and analyzed actual examples of presentations derived through ‘Encountering China through the Lens of Food’ and argued that this class is seeking convergence thinking based on food and culture. It also indicated that learners have cultivated global cultural capabilities by accepting and understanding food from other cultures. Since the ‘Encountering China through the Lens of Food’ class was conducted based on on-line zoom, communication between instructors and learners, learners and learners had to be sought in various ways even in non-face-to-face situations. In other words, in order for learners in the online environment to learn a sense of learner presnece, the instructor actively tried to form a bond with learners in detailed measures such as communication, educational experience, educational contents, and learning atmosphere. As a result, learners developed a solid community of inquiry to gain a sense of learner presence, which soon led to achieving the goal of the class called global cultural education.
