국문 초록

본 연구는 다문화배경 학생 밀집도가 학교의 학업성취에 미치는 영향을 분석하였다. 이를 위해, 한국교육과정평가원에서 제공하는 2020 국가수준 학업성취도 평가 데이터(NAEA) 중학교, 고등학교 자료를 사용하였으며, 위계선형모형(HLM)으로 분석하였다. 분석결과, 첫째, 다문화배경 학생 밀집도는 학교의 학업성취와 부(-)적인 관계가 있는 것으로 나타났다. 둘째, 중학교가 고등학교 보다 다문화배경 학생 밀집도의 영향을 더 크게 받는 것을 확인할수 있었다. 셋째, 고등학교에서는 온라인 수업의 유형이 학교의 학업성취에 영향을 미치는 것으로 나타났는데, 외부 제작 수업이 효과적인 것으로 나타났다. 이러한 연구 결과를 바탕으로 기존의 다문화배경 학생 중심의 지원에서 다문화배경 학생 밀집도에 따른 학교 차원에 지원으로의 정책 방향 전환, 학교급과 온라인 수업 유형을 고려한맞춤형 지원을 정책적 시사점으로 제시하였다.

영문 초록

This study examined the effect of immigrant student concentration on academic achievement of school. The study utilized the 2020 National Assessment of Education Achievement(NAEA) middle and high school data provided by the Korea Curriculum Assessment Service and used Hierarchial Linear Model(HLM) method. The results are summarized as follows. First of all, immigrant student concentration was negatively associated with the level of school academic achievements both to middle and high school. Second, middle school is affected by immigrant student concentration more strongly than high school. Third, only In high school, the effect on school academic achievement was different depending on the type of online class. In fact, it was found that the use of externally produced instructional materials and lectures had a positive effect on school academic achievement. This study suggested that the policy direction has shifted from policy support at the individual immigrant student level to support policy at the immigrant student concentration school level. In addition, a customized policy was suggested in consideration of school level and online class type.
