영유아교사의 일터영성에 관한 질적 연구: 영유아교사의 면담을 중심으로

국문 초록

목적 본 연구에서는 영유아교사의 일터영성이 어떠하며 그 의미가 무엇인지 살펴보고, 이를 바탕으로 영유아교사의 일터영성을 증진하기 위한 교사교육의 요구를 알아보고자 하였다. 방법 이를 위하여 서울과 경기도 소재 영유아교육 현장에서 종사하는 영유아교사 11명의 연구참여자를 선정하여 그들이 일터에서 경험하고 해석하는 실제를 고찰 및 분석하여 영유아교사의 일터영성을 살펴보고, 그것이 영유아교사에게 어떤 의미와 가치가 있는지 밝혀내고자 일대일 심층면담을 실시하였다. 결과 첫째, 영유아교육 현장에서 요구되는 영유아교사의 일터영성은 전문적인 지식이나 능력보다도 가치를 인식하는 의식 변화가 중요하며, 개인적인 성장과도 긴밀한 관계가 있음을 알 수 있었다. 둘째, 영유아교사의 일터영성이 어떠한가에 따라 영유아교사 개인 삶의 질이 결정되고, 영유아교육 현장의 질도 결정되므로, 일터영성을 바르게 이해하고 해석하여 바람직한 방향으로 증진해 나가는 것이 중요함을 알 수 있었다. 결론 영유아교사는 일터영성에 대한 자각과 새로운 인식을 해야 할 것이며, 일터영성을 끌어 올려 다양한 역할을 수행하는 역량을 강화하는 훈련으로 개인의 성장을 이끌고, 더불어 영유아교육 현장의 질을 높이기 위한 노력을 해야 할 것이다. 이에 본 연구는 영유아교사의 일터영성에 대한 새로운 인식교육과 함께 실질적인 일터영성 증진 프로그램의 개발 및 실행이 필요함을 시사한다.

영문 초록

Objectives This study attempted to find out what is the workplace spirituality of infant teachers required in the field of childcare and education for infants and toddlers. Methods To this end, 11 research participants, including directors, infant teachers, and early childhood teachers, who work at infant care and education sites in Seoul and Gyeonggi-do were selected, and in-depth one-on-one interviews were conducted to analyze the reality of their experience and interpretation in the workplace to find out what the workplace spirituality of infant teachers requires and what it means and is worth to infant teachers. Results First, it was found that the workplace spirituality of infant teachers required in the field of infant education is more important than professional knowledge or ability, and is closely related to personal growth. Second, the quality of individual life of infants and toddlers is determined by the workplace spirituality of infants and toddlers, and the quality of infant education sites is also determined, so it is important to understand and interpret workplace spirituality correctly and promote it in a desirable direction. Conclusions Infant teachers should be aware of and new awareness of workplace spirituality, and efforts should be made to lead individual growth and improve the quality of the infant education field by training to strengthen the ability to perform various roles by raising workplace spirituality. This suggests that it is necessary to develop and implement practical spirituality promotion programs along with new awareness education on workplace spirituality of infant and toddler teachers.
