만 5세 유아의 그림책 만들기 활동이 유아의 창의성과 놀이성에 미치는 영향

국문 초록

목적 본 연구에서는 그림책 만들기 활동이 유아의 창의성과 놀이성에 미치는 영향에 대해 알아보고자 하였다. 방법 이를 위해 경상북도 K시에 소재하고 있는 H 어린이집 만 5세 유아 13명과 D시에 소재하고 있는 D 어린이집 만 5세 유아 13명으로 각각 실험집단과 비교집단으로 선정하였다. 실험처치는 2023년 11월 8일부터 2024년 1월 17일까지 유아의 그림책 만들기 활동 및 이야기 나누기를 진행하였고, 이를 바탕으로 빈도분석, 독립/대응 t-검증과 비모수통계인 Mann-Whitney U 검증, Signed Ranks Test, 상관관계분석을 이용하여 결과를 분석하였다. 결과 첫째, 그림책 만들기 활동이 유아의 창의성 향상에 영향을 주고 있음을 알 수 있었고, 창의성의 하위요인인 융통성, 유창성, 상상력, 독창성에 긍정적인 영향을 미치는 것으로 나타났다. 둘째, 그림책 만들기 활동이 유아의 놀이성에 영향을 미치는 것으로 나타났다. 놀이성의 하위요인인 신체적 자발성, 사회적 자발성, 인지적 자발성, 즐거움의 표현, 유머감각 모두 놀이성 발달에 긍정적인 영향을 주고 있음을 알 수 있었다. 결론 이러한 연구 결과는 만 5세 그림책 만들기가 유아 창의성과 놀이성에 미치는 영향을 미치는 변인임을 시사한다. 따라서 본 연구 결과는 만 5세 유아의 그림책 만들기 활동이 유아의 창의성과 놀이성에 증진시키는데 도움을 줄 수 있을 것이라는 것을 추론할 수 있다.

영문 초록

Objectives This research investigates the effects of picture book creation activities on the creativity and playfulness of 5-year-old children. Methods The subjects of this study were 13 five-year-old children from H Kindergarten in K City, Gyeongsangbuk-do, and 13 five-year-old children from D Kindergarten in D City, selected as the experimental group and the control group, respectively. The experimental intervention involved conducting picture book creation activities and storytelling sessions from November 8, 2023, to January 17, 2024. The test results were analyzed using SPSS 28.0 for Windows. Specific methods included frequency analysis, independent/dependent t-tests, non-parametric statistics such as the Mann-Whitney U test, the Signed Ranks Test, and correlation analysis. The findings of this research are as follows. Results First, picture book creation activities were found to positively impact the enhancement of children's creativity. Specifically, the sub-factors of creativity, including flexibility, fluency, imagination, and originality, were positively influenced. Second, picture book creation activities were found to positively affect children’s playfulness. All sub-factors of playfulness, including physical spontaneity, social spontaneity, cognitive spontaneity, expression of enjoyment, and sense of humor, showed positive developmental effects. Conclusions These findings suggest that picture book creation activities are influential variables in enhancing the creativity and playfulness of 5-year-old children. Therefore, the results of this study indicate that picture book creation activities can help promote the creativity and playfulness of young children.
