학교상담자 윤리에 관한 국내 연구 동향 분석

국문 초록

목적 본 연구의 목적은 학교상담자 윤리에 관한 국내 연구를 고찰하여 학교상담자 윤리에 관한 국내 연구의 동향을 파악하고 후속 연구에 대한 방향과 시사점을 탐색하는 것이었다. 방법 이를 위해, 2003년부터 2024년까지 발표된 학교상담자 윤리에 관한 국내 학술지 논문 25편, 학위논문 6편, 총 31편을 수집하여, 기초사항(발표시기 및 발표형태), 연구주제, 연구방법, 연구대상을 기준으로 분석하였다. 결과 첫째, 발표시기별로는 학교상담자의 윤리에 관한 논문이 2003년부터 나오기 시작하여 2018년부터 좀더 많이 발표되었고, 발표형태별로는 학술지 논문이 학위논문보다 2배 많이 발표되었다. 둘째, 연구주제별로는 학교상담자의 특수성, 윤리적 갈등상황과 대처, 비밀보장에 관한 주제로 한 연구가 많이 발표되었고, 학교상담자의 다중관계, 자문, 사전동의, 전문성, 윤리강령, 내적 경험, 윤리적 의사결정, 윤리교육 등의 주제를 다룬 연구도 소수이지만 발표되었다. 셋째, 연구방법별로는 질적연구가 가장 많이 발표되었고, 다음으로는 문헌연구, 양적연구, 혼합연구 순으로 많이 발표되었다. 넷째, 연구참여자를 대상으로 한 모든 연구가 전문상담교사를 대상으로 하였으며, 일부 연구들은 전문상담사와 상담 전공 일반교사를 포함시킨 연구도 있었다. 결론 본 연구의 주요 결과를 바탕으로, 우리나라 학교상담자가 직면하는 윤리적 갈등을 감소시키고 효과적으로 대처하여 보다 윤리적인 상담을 수행할 수 있도록 하기 위해서는, 앞으로 연구의 주제, 연구방법, 연구참여자의 학교급 및 근무처별 측면에서 연구가 다각도로 이루어질 필요가 있음을 제언하였다.

영문 초록

Objectives The purposes of this study were to review research studies on school counselors' ethics, identify trends in domestic research studies on school counselor’ ethics, and explore the directions and implications for future research studies. Methods To achieve this, a total of 31 journal articles and dissertations on school counselor’ ethics published between 2003 and 2024 were collected and analyzed based on the criteria of basic information (publication period and type), research topics, research methods, and research participants. Results First, in terms of publication periods, research studies on school counselor’ ethics have been consistently published since 2003. Regarding publication types, academic journal articles were published twice as frequently as dissertations. Second, in terms of research topics, a significant number of studies focused on the unique characteristics of school counselors, ethical dilemmas and responses, and confidentiality. Additionally, research studies have been conducted on topics such as multiple relationships, consultation, informed consent, professionalism, ethical codes, internal experiences, ethical decision-making, and ethics education. Third, regarding research methods, qualitative research was the most frequently used, followed by literature reviews, quantitative research, and mixed-method research. Fourth, in all of the research studies which have participants, participants were professional school counselors, with some studies also including professional counselors and general teachers majoring in counseling. Conclusions Based on the main findings of this study, various research directions were proposed to help school counselors reduce ethical conflicts, respond effectively, and conduct ethical counseling. These recommendations were presented from multiple perspectives, including research topics, research methods, and the school level and workplace of research participants.
