국문 초록

목적 본 연구는 가족문제로 어려움을 겪는 대학생 내담자의 상담과정에서의 경험과 그 의미를 포토보이스를 활용한 내러티브 탐구를 통해 분석하고, 이 접근법이 교육 및 상담 분야에 미치는 시사점을 논의하는 것을 목적으로 한다. 방법 이를 위하여 연구참여자는 대학교에 재학 중인 3명의 대학생으로, 자료 수집을 위한 심층 면접은 2021년 11월부터 2021년 12월까지 참여자당 2~3회 실시되었다. 본 연구에서 채택한 연구방법의 기본 틀인 내러티브 탐구 절차에 최근 부각되고 있는 포토보이스 방식을 결합시켜, 대학생 내담자의 상담의 경험을 이해하고 그 의미를 탐색하였다. 결과 연구참여자에게 가족문제 상담의 경험은 ‘어둠 속에서 자신과 가족을 대면하고, 개인 및 관계적 변화가 일어나는 과정’이라는 것을 사진과 그들의 목소리로 확인하였다. 이를 통해 도출된 연구참여자들의 가족문제 상담 경험의 의미는 ‘뿌연 안개 속에 있는 것처럼’, ‘고통을 마주한 용기’, ‘나와 가족을 이해하는 시간’, ‘가족관계의 재구성’, ‘가족이 함께하는 여정’ 5가지로 나타났다. 결론 본 연구를 통해, 상담연구의 내용적 측면에서는 대학생 내담자의 가족문제 상담의 경험과 의미에 대한 이해를 제공함과 동시에 질적 연구의 방법론적 측면에서는 포토보이스를 활용한 내러티브 탐구의 가능성에 대해 살펴볼 수 있었다. 이는 대학생의 교과학습뿐만 아니라 다양한 교육 현장과 상담 분야에 적용 가능성을 제시하며, 실질적인 기여를 할 것이다.

영문 초록

Objectives This study aims to analyze the experiences and meanings of college student clients facing family issues during counseling through narrative inquiry using photovoice, and to discuss the implications of this approach in the fields of education and counseling. Methods Participants in the study were 3 collage students and in-depth interviews were conducted two to three times per participant from November 2021 to December 2021. This study combined the photovoice research procedure with the narrative inquiry procedure to understand collage student clients' experience of the counseling and explore their meaning. Results For the study participants, it was confirmed with photos and their voices that the experience of family problem counseling was ‘the process of facing oneself and family in the dark, and personal and relational changes taking place’. The meaning of the study participants' experience in the counseling for family problems was found to be “as if they were in a fog,” “courage facing pain,” “time to understand me and family,” “reconstruction of family relationships,” and “a journey with family.” Conclusions Through this study, we were able to understand their unique experience and meaning of counseling for family problems among 3 collage student clients while examining the possibility of narrative inquiry that combines photovoice in terms of methodology of qualitative research. This suggests the potential for application not only in college students' academic learning but also in various educational settings and counseling fields, making a practical contribution.
