국문 초록

목적 본 연구에서는 군 병사의 군 생활 적응에 스마트폰 사용이 미치는 영향과 이러한 영향관계에서 대인관계능력과 자아존중감의 매개효과를 분석하였다. 방법 본 연구를 위해 2024년 7월 15일부터 9월 6일까지 인문교육에 참가한 경기도와 강원도에 위치한 2개 부대의 병사 350명을 대상으로 설문을 배포하고 불성실한 응답을 제외하고 338부를 분석에 사용하였다. 수집된 데이터는 SPSS 22.0을 이용하여 Baron & Kenny의 3단계 위계적 회귀분석을 사용하여 매개효과를 분석하였으며, 부트스트래핑으로 사후검증하였다. 결과 한국 군의 스마트폰 사용의 긍정적 효과와 대인관계능력, 자아존중감은 군 생활 적응에 정적 영향을 미치는 것으로 나타났으며, 스마트폰의 부정적 효과는 군 생활 적응에 유의한 영향을 미치지 않는 것으로 나타났다. 병사들의 스마트폰 사용의 긍정적 효과가 군 생활 적응에 미치는 영향을 대인관계능력과 자아존중감이 완전매개하는 것으로 나타났다. 결론 스마트폰 사용의 긍정적 효과는 의사소통을 원활히 하고, 타인과의 신뢰를 향상시켜 군 생활 적응을 용이하게 하며, 스마트폰의 다양한 기능을 사용함으로 병사의 욕구를 충족시켜 자아존중감의 수준을 높이고 이러한 결과로 군 생활 적응의 수준이 높아진다는 것을 의미한다. 따라서, 병사의 군 생활 적응을 위해 스마트폰을 적절하게 사용하고, 대인관계능력과 자아존중감의 수준을 높여야 한다는 것을 의미한다.

영문 초록

Objectives In this study, we analyzed the impact of smartphone use on soldiers' adaptation to military life and the mediating effects of interpersonal skills and self-esteem on this impact. Methods For this study, a questionnaire was distributed to 350 soldiers from two units located in Gyeonggi-do and Gangwon-do who participated in humanities education from July 15 to September 6, 2024, and 338 copies were used for analysis after excluding insincere responses. The collected data were analyzed for mediation effects using Baron & Kenny's three-stage hierarchical regression analysis using SPSS 22.0, and post-hoc verification was performed using bootstrapping. Results The positive effects of smartphone use by Korean soldiers, interpersonal skills, and self-esteem were found to have a positive effect on military life adaptation, while the negative effects of smartphones did not have a significant effect on military life adaptation. The positive effects of soldiers’ smartphone use on military life adaptation were completely mediated by interpersonal skills, and the positive effects of soldiers’ smartphone use on military life adaptation were completely mediated by self-esteem. Conclusions The positive effects of smartphone use mean that it facilitates communication, improves trust with others, facilitates adaptation to military life, and increases self-esteem by satisfying soldiers’ needs through the use of various functions of smartphones, which in turn increases the level of adaptation to military life. Therefore, it means that smartphones should be used appropriately to help soldiers adapt to military life, and that interpersonal skills and self-esteem should be increased.
