아동 독서 관련 유튜브 방송의 현황과 특성 연구

국문 초록

본고에서는 아동의 독서 행위를 증진시키는 방안을 모색하고자 아동 독서 관련 유튜브 방송의 특성을 방송의유형, 책의 유형, 진행자의 특성, 대상 시청자의 연령 등으로 구분하여 분석하였다. 분석 결과, ‘책 읽기’ 유형의 방송이 가장 많이 제작되고 시청되었으며 ‘책 해석’, ‘책 소개’ 유형의 방송이 그 뒤를 이었다. 대부분의 방송에서는‘서사텍스트’ 유형의 책을 집중적으로 다루고 있었다. 방송 진행자는 ‘부모, 아동, 교사, 성인’ 순으로 나타났는데방송 유형에 따라 진행자의 특성이 각기 다르게 분포하였다. ‘책 읽기’ 방송에서는 ‘부모’, ‘책 소개’ 방송에서는‘교사’, ‘책 해석’ 방송에서는 ‘아동’이 가장 많이 나타났다. 대상 시청자의 연령은 저학년에서 고학년 순으로 많이나타났는데, ‘1-2학년’은 ‘책 읽기’ 방송에 편중되어 있었고, ‘5-6학년’은 ‘책 해석’ 방송에 가장 많이 나타났다. 이와 같은 아동 독서 관련 유튜브 방송의 특성은 실제 아동의 독서 행위를 촉진시키는 방안을 마련하는데 중요한요인으로 활용될 수 있다.

영문 초록

This study aims to find ways to promote children’s reading behavior in the change media environment. For this, We analyzed the characteristics of YouTube Reading Contents for Children. As a result, first, ‘Reading Book’ type was produced and watched the most, and ‘Book Interpretation’ and ‘Book Introduction’ type appeared in that order. Second, most of the broadcasts focused on ‘narrative text’ type books. Third, broadcast hosts appeared in the order of ‘parents, children, teachers, and adults’. According to the broadcast type, the characteristics of the host were distributed differently. ‘Parents’ in the ‘Reading Book’ broadcast, ‘Teacher’ in the ‘Book Introduction’ broadcast, and ‘Children’ in the ‘Book Interpretation’ broadcast appeared the most. Finaly, the age of the viewers appeared the most in the order from the lower grades to the upper grades. the lower graders were concentrated on ‘Reading Book’ type, and the upper graders appeared the most on ‘Book Interpretation’ type. The characteristics of YouTube broadcasting related to children’s reading can be used as a factor to enhance the reading behavior of children.
