카혼 활용을 통한 중등음악수업 사례 분석

국문 초록

본 연구는 카혼을 활용한 체계적인 중등 음악 교육 프로그램을 개발함에 있다. 이를 위해 중등 음악 교육 현장에 카혼을 접목한 교사들에게 설문 조사를 받아 분석하였다. 그 결과 카혼 수업은 다른 악기들에 비해 현저하게 수업 참여도가 높았으며 이는 직관적인 주법과 타법으로 학생들이 좋아하는 대중음악 반주가 용이하고 평소접할 수 없었던 색다르고 재미있는 악기로서 중등음악 교사들이 수업 시 가장 중요하게 생각하는 학생들의 흥미와 관심에 부합하였기 때문임을 알 수 있었다. 이렇게 카혼의 중등 음악 교육 악기로서의 타당성과 교육적 효과가확인되었지만 교사들이 원함에도 음악과 예산이 넉넉하지 않아서 카혼을 구입하지 못하거나 혹은 학생들 수에 맞게 구입하지 못하는 문제들이 남아 있었다. 바라기는 음악과 수업에도 현실적인 예산이 반영되어 교사들이 교육현장에 적용함에 어려움이 없는 날이 오기를 기대해 본다.

영문 초록

The focus of this study is on developing systematically a music education program in the secondary schools using cajon. For doing this, we analysed the survey of the teachers who use cajon in their music classes. Our results suggests that the rate of the participation of students in cajon lesson is much higher than other musical instruments lessons. This is because it is easy to accompany a popular music which students like by using intuitive playing styles. According to this survey, while we don’t usually have many chances to learn cahon, it is still a unique and interesting instrument. We also found cahon is able to meet students’ interest which music teachers in secondary school think the most important in their classes. Hence, many students enjoy learning it in music class. Although the validity and educational effects of cahon as an instrument for a music education in the secondary schools were confirmed, some problems are still left. Some schools don’t have enough budget to purchase cahon according to the number of students even though music teachers want in secondary schools. We hope the realistic budget will be reflected in every music class. Therefore, teachers will not have difficulty applying it to the educational field someday.
