기사 제목에 나타난 ‘암호화폐’의 인지언어학적 분석

국문 초록

이 연구에서는 온라인 뉴스 기사 제목에 나타나는 ‘암호화폐’에 대해 인지언어학적 분석을 진행하였다. 그 궁극적 목표는 미디어가 이러한 뉴스 기사를 소비하는 독자들에게 구조화하고자 하는 인지모형을 밝히는 데 있다. 인지언어학에서는 한 낱말이 갖는 의미는 사전적 정의를 초월해서 인지체계에 기반을 둔 배경 지식에 의해 해석되고이러한 배경 지식을 틀이라 한다. 틀 인지모형의 구성 요소를 온라인 뉴스 기사의 제목에서 분석해내고자 했고, 아울러 틀이 설명할 수 없는 문맥 의미를 보완하기 위해 스키마 요소까지 분석해냈다. 385건의 온라인 뉴스 기사제목으로 분석 대상으로 연구한 결과 ‘암호화폐’의 틀 인지모형은 ‘소유주체’, ‘채굴주체’, 그리고 이들 사이에서 공유되고 있는 ‘가치’, ‘거래소’, ‘정부’로 구성되어 있다는 점을 도출해 낼 수 있었다. 본 연구의 주요 성과들을 요약하여 제시하면 아래와 같다. 첫째, 암호화폐는 정부 제도권에 편입되는 중이다. 미디어가 적극적으로 정부의 개입을 호소하고 있으며 거래소는 제도 편입을 가속화하고 있었다. 거래소의 존폐는 실명제 도입과 의심 거래 보고 의무화에 달려 있다는 점을명시하고 있었다. 둘째, 암호화폐의 가치는 금융자산에 더 가까워지고 있다. 불법 행위에 일조하는 수단으로부터세금을 납부해야 하고 안전성을 갖는 ‘안전 금융자산’과 수익성과 위험성을 겸한 ‘위험 금융자산’으로서의 지위를점차 확고히 하고 있었다. 이는 또 암호화폐의 제도화 편입을 더욱 가속하고 있다. 셋째, 소유주체와 채굴주체의불법성 그리고 비도덕성이 강조되고 있다. 소유주체의 스키마 분석 결과 부정적인 키워드 위주였고 채굴주체의 경우 역시 에너지 낭비와 탄소 감축의 걸림돌이 된다는 식의 내용을 확인할 수 있었다.

영문 초록

The purpose of this study is to reveal what kind of cognitive model the media is trying to structure for readers who consume these news articles. In cognitive linguistics, the meaning of a word is interpreted by background knowledge based on the cognitive system beyond the dictionary definition, and this background knowledge is called a frame. We tried to analyze the components of the frame recognition model from the title of online news article, and also analyzed the schema element to supplement the contextual meaning that the frame could not explain. As a result, the components of the frame is ‘owner’, ‘mining entity’, and the ‘value’, ‘exchange’, and ‘government’ shared among them. First, cryptocurrency is being incorporated into the government system. The media were actively appealing for government intervention, and the exchange was accelerating the incorporation of the system. Second, the value of cryptocurrency is getting closer to a financial asset. The frame elements were gradually being consolidated as a ‘safe financial asset’ that had to pay taxes from means of contributing to illegal activities and had safety and a ‘risk financial asset’ that had both profitability and risk. Third, the illegality and immorality of the owners and miners are emphasized. As a result of analysis of the owner’s schema, it was confirmed that negative keywords were centered, and in the case of the miner, it was also an obstacle to energy waste and carbon reduction.
