교육학과 교육목표의 다양성에 따른 교육과정 특성 탐색

국문 초록

목적 이 연구는 교육학과의 예비교사 양성이라는 고유의 목적이 시대적 변화에 따라 다양한 교육전문가 양성으로 확대되는 흐름 속에 있다는 문제의식 아래, 이에 대응하기 위해 교육과정 운영 상 취하고 있는 실질적 노력을 탐색하는 데 목적이 있다. 방법 전국 4년제 대학에 소속된 37개 교육학과의 양성 목표, 양성 목표에 따른 전공 교육과정, 양성 목표에 관련된 비교과 교육과정의 내용(구체적으로 대학별 교육학과 홈페이지에 제시된 학과 소개, 교육목표, 진출분야, 전공교육과정 소개 및 이수표, 비교과 교육과정 및 프로그램 소개 자료 등)을 수집하였다. 그리고 이론적 배경을 기초로 수립된 분과성, 계열성, 통합성의 3개 기준에 따라 이를 분석하고 목표에 따른 교육과정 유형을 도출하였다. 결과 연구 결과, 37개 교육학과 중 36개 교육학과에서 양성 목표를 교원 뿐 아니라 교육행정공무원, 평생교육 전문가, 상담 전문가 등 다양한 교육 관련 직업에 종사하는 인재를 양성하는 것으로 범위를 확대하고 있다. 그러나 이를 교육과정 운영에 반영한 비율은 약 32.4%(37개 학과 중 12개 학과)로 비교적 낮은 편이며, 단순히 진로 트랙을 구분하여 명시하는 것부터(진로구분형) 학년별, 단계별 과목 이수와 같은 체계도를 함께 제시(전공트랙형), 더 나아가 관련된 비교과 교육과정을 연계하는 경우까지(균형제시형) 다양한 유형이 확인되었다. 유형 분석을 통한 구체적인 특징을 살펴본 결과, ①총 7개 분야의 교육 관련 직업 기반 트랙 설정, ②전체 이수 로드맵 또는 트랙별 주요 교과목 부분 제시형, ③공통기초과목 제시 유무, ④ 동일 트랙 내 과목의 다양성, ⑤ 비교과 교육과정의 구체성 미약 등의 특징이 도출되었다. 결론 교육학과만의 브랜드화를 통한 교육과정 운영, 핵심교과와 대학의 자유성 이슈에 대한 고민, 다양한 교육 분야 전문가 양성을 위한 비교과 교육과정의 역할 심화 등이 필요하다.

영문 초록

Objectives Under the awareness of the problem that the inherent purpose of the department of education to train pre-service teachers is expanding to nurture various education experts according to the changes of the times, the purpose of this study is to explore the practical efforts of Department of Education in operating the curriculum. Methods To this end, the contents of the department introduction and purpose presented on the homepages of 37 educational departments belonging to universities across the country, as well as the major and non-specialty curriculum related to the field of training, were collected and analyzed based on the three criteria of division, sequence, and integration. Results As a result of the study, 36 education departments out of 37 education departments have expanded their training goals to nurture talents who are engaged in various education-related occupations, including not only teachers, but also education administrative officials, lifelong education experts, and counseling experts. However, the rate of reflecting this in the operation of the curriculum is about 32.4% (12 departments out of 37 departments), which is relatively low. There are a type that simply classifies the career track (career classification type), a type that presents a system chart such as each grade level and step-by-step course completion (major track type), and a type that connects related non-curricular courses (balanced presentation type). As a result of examining the specific characteristics through the type analysis, ① establishment of education-related job-based tracks in a total of 7 fields, ② the overall completion road map or the type of presentation of major courses for each track, ③ the presence or absence of presentation of common basic courses, ④ diversity of subjects in the same track, ⑤ and the lack of specificity of the non-curricular curriculum were derived. Conclusions It is necessary to operate the curriculum through the branding of the department of education, to think about the issues of core subjects, and to deepen the role of the extracurricular curriculum to nurture experts in various fields of education.
