예술교육을 경험한 병원 간호사의 승화 탐색

국문 초록

목적 본 연구는 감정의 억제와 소진이 빈번한 병원 간호사들이 예술교육을 경험하며 겪은 자기 통찰과 승화 과정을 탐색한 최초의 연구이다. 사람의 생명과 직결된 업무를 하며 다양한 감정이 공존하는 병원에서 일하면서도 모순적으로 자신의 감정을 주로 억제하는 병원 간호사들 대상으로 발레 예술교육을 통한 감정 성찰의 시작과 예술적 승화 과정을 심층적으로 탐색하고자 한다. 방법 연구 목적에 따라 2020년 12월부터 2021년 2월까지 대학병원에서 3년 이상 근무하였으며 동시에 발레 교육을 1년 이상 받은 간호사 9명을 목적적 표집 방법으로 선정하였다. 심층 면담을 통해 자료를 수집하고 내용분석을 이용한 질적 서술적 연구로 현상에 대한 깊은 이해를 증진 시키고자 질적 연구 방법의 귀납적 분석방법으로 분석하였다. 결과 분석 결과 연구 참여자들은 발레 교육을 통해 자신의 감정을 성찰하고 일과 삶을 분리해서 생각할 수 있는 충분한 시간을 가졌다. 발레에 완전히 몰입하였고 자신의 감정과 욕구를 예술적으로 표현함으로써 발레 그 이상의 성취감을 느끼는 승화를 확인하였다. 예술을 통해 삶을 성찰하고 자신만의 방식으로 표현할 때 비로소 진정한 자유를 느꼈으며 자신의 잠재력을 스스로 깨닫는 동기부여가 되었다. 결론 본 연구는 병원 간호사들에게 예술교육 프로그램이 갖는 중요성을 제시하였다. 간호사들의 특성을 고려한 예술교육의 방향성을 찾는 것은 그것을 적용하고 활성화하는 데 기여할 것이다. 간호사를 위한 예술교육의 관심과 확장은 그들이 병원에서 느끼는 감정의 격동 속에서도 자기 자신을 주체로 하여 앞으로 나아갈 수 있도록 하는 힘의 원천이 될 것이다.

영문 초록

Objectives This study is the first study to explore the self-insight and sublimation process experienced by hospital nurses who frequently experience suppression and exhaustion of emotions. The subjects of this study were hospital nurses who had to suppress their emotions while working in a hospital where various emotions exist. Through art education, it is intended to deeply explore the emotional reflection and artistic sublimation process of hospital nurses. Methods According to the purpose of the study, 9 nurses who worked at a university hospital for more than 3 years from December to February 2020 and received ballet education for more than 1 year were selected. Data were collected by interviewing them and analyzed by the inductive analysis method of the qualitative research method. For a deep and broad understanding of the phenomenon, it was analyzed by inductive analysis of qualitative research methods. Results As a result of the analysis, the study participants had enough time to reflect on their emotions and think separately from work and life through ballet education. By fully immersing himself in ballet and expressing his emotions and desires artistically, he confirmed the sublimation of feeling a sense of accomplishment beyond ballet. It was only when I reflected on life through art and expressed it in my own way that I felt truly free and motivated to realize my own potential. Conclusions This study suggested the importance of arts education program for hospital nurses. Finding the direction of art education considering the characteristics of nurses will contribute to its application and activation. The interest and expansion of art education for nurses will be a source of strength that enables them to move forward with themselves as subjects in the midst of the emotional turbulence they feel at the hospital.
